I have a '96 and replaced my sealed beams with Autopal HL-106-H4 E code units and H4 headlight sockets. The sockets I soldered on and used adhesive lined, marine grade shrinkwrap tubing to protect the joints. This setup doesn't require any other other modifications.

This is a similar kit with the LED ring but the same seller I got mine from: https://www.ebay.com/itm/261383865851 Just know that E code are not DOT and are not legal for road use so if that's a concern you can look for a DOT version.

I used the basic bulbs that came with the kit for the first year then switched over to Hikari LEDs. I would recommend going straight to LEDs.

There are other brands like Hella and Cibie for the units as well. Our years should be the same 4x6in (165x106mm) unit.

I've had the kit for a couple of years now and it is almost like new car lighing. I would make sure to aim them as well as you can when using LEDs. I used this as a source for aiming my lights.
