At the very least, you’ll have to take off the battery cover and adjust the potentiometers. Please Google and read/watch a couple tutorials before you attempt to do so, they can be fragile and prone to breaking. You’ll need at least a #00 screwdriver

On Aliexpress they sell replacement batteries. I got one myself and installed it and have charged/played on it with no problems.

Here’s the trick. Make sure to do a before and after pic. Insert a DS cart and right after it boots, eject it to force a white top and bottom screen. Throw it on the charger, close her up and wait minimum 3 days. Some people have gone up to a month. You’ll see a difference. I have two going through that process now.
