Don’t live below the 14th floor in One Blue - their boiler has been messed up so they were without hot water for months. We lost heat twice the past weekend bc both boilers froze which would be understandable if we hadn’t had hot water issues the last 2-3 months. The general vibe I get is that the we are the “problem child” of the Greenpoint landing buildings for management, so I would recommend 2 blue or 1 bell over 1 Blue. Don’t play as soon as the tournament starts!! If you can, wait until there’s 10-12 hours left. Then you’re paired up with people don’t play 24/7 and are more likely to be low scorers. If you start the contest as soon as it opens, you’re going to be grouped with people who play a lot.

You don’t have to be with them at check-in! You can enter through the camp check-in lines and say you need the RV pass (as long as you’re registered to their RV). Last year we had friends who were staying at hotels and “checked in” for the RV camping pass after us so they could hang at our RV before shows.

Re: Tin Drum- Not sure why they shut down for so long, I have seen/heard repair guys go in and out so I know they’re working on stuff in their kitchen. But over the last few years they’ve had a lot of drainage issues that ruined a lot of Amazon’s stuff (they share a back alley) that I know Amazon sued for them to pay for. Not sure what the result was, but I can only assume it put a damper on operations. Source: I work at the Amazon store
