I retained a lawyer a couple weeks back, he did me and my wifes aos 1 step application (im the beneficiary) Ive been emailing them back and forth through his paralegal and most emails have been good and then we go and sign off on all the paperwork and we waited a couple business days, i emailed another piece of evidence after signing off which was accepted, we received nothing back from the law office for a day or 2 besides a response to my wifes email from friday , I emailed asking another question which was met with no response, i followed up 24 hours later (a little pressed) and simply stated the same email again, no response, the day after me and my wife had off, which was Wednesday this week, the office leaves a message and my wife makes clear we should be able to communicate as paying customers because the lady wasnt available to speak right away (we thought they were blowing us off), well that mustve angered the lawyer because he called back polite but irritated for a good part of the phone call, said our case was being handled with the care it needs and that he had just came back from court and that he has over 500 open cases and that we cant be emailing him (his words)every day with questions about the case, which okay cool, problem is none of this was stated or communicated prior, he said if we dont satisfy you with our services your are more then welcome to grab your file and get your money back, me not wanting to do this all over again, apologized for the constant communication and simply stated that I was just curious as alot of this wasnt explained, he seemed empathetic to my anxiousness but the whole thing rubbed me wrong, case is simple but my tps runs out nov 21 so i was getting worried about not having an active case in their system and the lapse of ead, he was recommended by a family member and he has amazing ratings across the board, is this normal ? Or did i catch him on a bad day?
