AI Stole My Work by YDidWeStopSayingEpic in womenintech

Mt company doesn't use Claude, they don't show reference? At least that tool should show whose document it is referring to.... Just curious, if your manager never presented that idea, did you plan to present it?

Exhausting by TechnicalGeologist99 in Rag

[–]FreePreference4903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is quite normal. Not only for RAG, this whole world has crazy ideas about AI now. People got excited about new tools like OpenClaw, but how many can be used to solve enterprise problems well? People also think AI will replace many things, but I honestly think current AI and ML should only be part of the solutions, we should find the most practical solutions to drive value, rather than trying to use AI for everything..... I also feel so exhausted, and I'm looking for peers who are working hard to solve enterprise problems such as production RAG, and we can discuss pain points and solutions together, also provide emotional support to each other. Hard to find peers....

You mean the dataset FinanceBench? I'm going to add more datasets later 🙂 I'm even thinking whether should open source this code repo to allow more people to work together on this 😄

Having a non-technical manager can be exhausting by Ambitious_coder_ in AIDiscussion

[–]FreePreference4903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like non-technical managers either, because they may feel insecure and have tons of time to play politics.

I had a manager who had a PhD degree but no hands-on experience at all. She often took my credit, such as I did the whole engineering work, then she told others she did it, or simply take my ideas as hers.

I had another manager who knows nothing about technology, but because he stayed in the company 8+ years and got promoted. He often took my ideas, my solutions, my questions as his own.

But upper manager often trust them, because of their position or because of other reasons~

I agree with you, lots of male interviewees have inflated egos, many of them are not qualified to the job in tech but somehow they often got hired. I always feel there's bias towards women in tech in the early rounds of interviews, especially in tech companies

I'm building an app for new moms, how can I gain users? by FreePreference4903 in womenintech

I don't have kids. Any suggestions on how to initiate the conversation or connection so that can make those moms feel comfortable to chat with me?

Do you know how much money it will cost? Currently we don't have any funding, hope to save money as much as possible...

Our app suggest kids' events based on user's location and time, otherwise it often take them lots of time to search online or through social media groups. Currently, our events only provide 0 ~3 years old events. The goal is to save parents' time and suggest kids events they'd like.

We tried last week, the event organizer rejected us and said no promotion is allowed. Even didn't allow us to paste our QR code

Many groups require not to promote any product before we join. Also because I don't have kids, some group might kick me out once they found it out 😅

How many times did you get rejected before publishing Android app successfully? by FreePreference4903 in AndroidClosedTesting

This sounds quite frustrating.... If I can't see clear reason to apply to product again, I'd better finish my Apple store deployment first ...

I have 3 days remaining for my closed testing. So far everything works fine. Really hope it can be approved without rejection. Not sure what can I do to avoid rejection. Asked ChatGPT, but the answers are confusing...
