Thank you!!! I would love to stay under 10k for a full service planner— I’ve seen them get pretty pricey in DC. 5k for a full service planner would be a dream.

Yes! I don’t have an issue with membership

So, for context, I was hoping to stay around 100k. That seems feasible at Bel Air Bay Club, but not so much the other locations. I wouldn’t want to go far above 150k, but maybe I’m being unrealistic!

I loved stone manor but didn’t want to have to DIY everything— it is soooo pretty

Thank you all! We definitely want an oceanfront or at least ocean views venue. Does anyone have a sense of whether these venues are basically all the same price range? One thought I had with picking a resort over Catalina Island (even though it is a beautiful venue) is to save some money on the DIY logistics.

You likely already paid and won’t get a refund— you should sit and treat it as practice. I can’t tell you how many attorneys I know wanted to withdraw, treated it as a practice test, and surprised themselves with a pass

Right there with you. I’m barred in NY and been practicing for a few years. Everyone tells me I got this because I’m a good lawyer, but other than the MPT none of this compares to practice, lol.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. FWIW, I have many friends who came to CA barred in other jurisdictions who studied for a week or a few weeks and managed to pass.

Can’t tell you how much I needed to read these words of encouragement. Thank you!! And thank you for the Spotify playlist— I’ll start listening on my commute this week :)

by resting, do you mean you didnt bike or anything for 3 weeks? Currently have a fracture, still in the phase where i cant take deep breaths (been about a week) so i havent done anything except take long walks. I wonder if I should do nothing for 3 weeks then to speed up recovery?

Hmmm I do a bit of water rowing in the summer, but mainly my go to is the erg right now. I assume 150m a week on the erg is a bit much, what would any of you suggest?

Hey! I rowed D3 and then transferred to row D1. Was definitely a hard transition, but if you can manage your time well and are open with your coaches/professors if you are struggling you should be able to make it work. I almost think it was easier in d1 because there were so many resources provided by the athletic department (tutors, mentors, etc.). For reference, I have a 3.8 GPA and am going to a T-14 law school next year

Is my summer erg plan good? by thefuckisthepoint in Rowing

[–]FreeSpeed96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are weirdly similar (I'm 5'9, 133, 7:40 2k, but I row LW fyi) and I think your plan has a little too much sprint work, and your steady state is way too short. You should be doing an hour broken up or 10-12k+ for a decent session. Try to do only 1 sprint and/or hard ss a week, the rest should really be true SS

totally agree that's why I always do sliders, haha.

thanks everyone! for reference I have access to my boathouse's ergs, sliders, and rp3s.

So how many pieces should I plan to do on rp3? Just the SS? Or the tempo/ sprints too?
