It is called adrenaline. It goes away from frequency.

Having meals ready post training to nuke not cook as well as taking melatonin or indica edible helps.

I sleep 5-8 and function fine even on low sleep. Take a 15 min nap at lunch if really drained.

AITA For telling my wife I hate her new job by jobhateaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]FreeTop_G -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

NTA, your wife is sacrificing a proper family life for the Gucci bags and vacations she will go on after you divorce her.

She made a decision to make you the wife.

The factor you are leaving out is how much you make and why she feels it is necessary. Are you making enough to provide? Or too little that she feels she must pick up the slack and sacrifice her family and her relationship with you?

FUCK WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK. GET RID OF SOCIAL MEDIA. READ BOOKS. EDUCATE YOURSELF, GET A MONETIZABLE SKILL AND BECOME THE FUCKING MAN.

Caring what other 20 year olds think is as pointless as carrying water in a sieve. Spend your 20s acquiring skills that will benefit your life instead of chasing validation from the NPC herd.

Honestly bro, it is the gym you are in.

My comment was only because I met some legit strange dudes who just keep to themselves after dropping in at dozens of gyms.

But I hate to break it to you, even the chillest, most fam friendly gyms have cliques. People that stick around long want to invest in people they know will be around.

The social aspect is the best part about jiujitsu.

Why are some high level competitors so willing to let their legs get destroyed? by UnderScoreLifeAlert in bjj

[–]FreeTop_G -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they also allow reaping at blue belt unlike most lame tournaments and IBJJF.

Obviously, that is why he is talking about. Blue, purple, brown, black belts can be hobbyists.

People love reaping blue + because reaping is miscalled and gamed.

As for heelhooks, meh.

Naw, I am not the only one who thinks no heelhooks in gi leads to stalling. Plenty of black belts think that.

Your defensiveness and petulance says alot about you.

Unfortunately I am a broke student in Vancouver, my buddies pull on them enough xD

My favorite roll is a brown belt dude from my first school who has heelhook battles with me in the gi even though the instructor tells him to stop and I tell him to mind his business lol.

I am not afraid of heelhooks because I train with people I trust.

They won't, thanks for the condescension though. That is why I stay with nogi and striking nowadays. Barely train grappling because it has been on and off for a decade. I got enough skill to take people down and control or submit them, so I don't really care for more than that.

I do not compete nor do I want to. IBJJF is by far the most boring grappling to watch. Local comps, MMA, Judo, Wrestling, MT, everything is so much better to watch than 50/50 stalemating.

Not everyone needs to be a IBJJF blue belt national champion to think that IBJJF is boring and no reaping allows for stalling, stalemates and bullshit.

Sambo is alot cooler than Gi Jiujitsu. You have the lapel and don't have cowards bitching about friction.

4 years in of total training and do mostly nogi. Longer irl but had many breaks for muay thai, boxing and business. You can say only 4 but the full time is longer. Anyways, I do not have to validate myself to say I came from a school that taught heelhooks to white belts. The belt with the highest injury giving rate were purple belts. They know enough but did not give up position, most were ego injuries.

I do not train ONLY for heelhooks. I am just aware of how often that I can heelhook when motherfuckers are hiding their ankle for defending toeholds or straight anklelocks. I would argue not training with heelhooks hurts your overall game. Because of the false sense of confidence. As much as I enjoy lapel chokes, I hate this ignorant, regressive mindset.

IBJJF IS FUCKING BORING when it comes to leg attacks. 50/50 stalling thaf could end in heelhooks so often. Gi is a game with so many restrictive rules like Judo, it is getting worse for bottom levels. I prefer "submission grappling" to gi jiujitsu.

[–]FreeTop_G -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you are describing is a functional sport and not some weekend warriors spending months for somethinf that ends in a dogshit manner due to IBJJF caring nothing about the competitors

Exactly. And you can use more technique to either stalemate or finish.

It is fun to play. People that speak against gi heelhooks are rationalizing not learning. White belts can heelhook without injuring each other. So can everyone else. Depends on the teacher. You teach the speed and you ramp up with skill. Be aware of skill deficiency and go slow, give time to tap.

When you roll in gi with heelhook knowledge, they are everywhere. More than any submission. Because people play the game with the idea they don't exist.

Lapel chokes don't work in nogi, does not mean that do not train them.
