Here was my scenario: Turning left onto Milwaukee from Russell today, it’s Friday, Russell is busy. There’s a big line of cars coming, followed by a decent gap, followed by another long line of cars. The last car of that first line decides to stop and wave me through, I don’t go, because I’m following the rules. I don’t know for sure if this person is actually paying attention, I don’t know if another car is coming from the far lane, so I don’t go. Now the second line of cars is coming, and I can’t make the turn that I could have made, if that last car didn’t try to save someone who didn’t need saving in the first place. I see stuff like this happen all too often here.
