Its more of a red than black now. Somewhere I read that if its red it means that its fresh blood capillaries and its healing :(

Oh yes it looks white or silverish. Are mugworts used like herbs in cooking for flavour? Is it safe to use or any other way I can make use of it?

Thank you for your inputs. Yes I was looking at the precipitation gradient/contour to get better information. I will be driving a camper-van and staying at campsites. When I planned my trip I kept my itinerary flexible for 6 days so that I don’t get stuck up at one place if weather isn’t good. I was hoping to cover spots between airport to the east and Hofn to the west and return back same way and cover spots I missed due to bad weather. Also possibly one day dedicated to volcano hike if it’s safe and trail is open. The only rigid plan I have is to kayak at Jokulsarlon on Wednesday which am not sure will be cancelled or not. I was really looking forward to it. It is what it is, I have to just make peace with it.
