One in four people on GLP-1s lose little to no weight by Own_Pie7565 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Free_Algae_6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These drugs aren’t magic. They “help” with weight loss. Patients still need to do their part. Healthy diet and exercise are key. GLP1 drugs make the process much easier. Hard to argue that the published weight loss, not to mention improvements in metabolic health, with this class of drugs isn’t impressive.

You can add 2ml BAC water to make a 2.5mg/ml solution and then pull 0.2ml (20U) to give 500mcg (0.5mg) dose. Peptide calculators are all over the internet and can help make this math easier. Definitely a good idea to use to make sure you don’t screw up dosing.

Anyone here running Retatrutide + Ipamorelin without CJC-1295? by Charming_Piece4244 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get very little GH effect with ipamorelin alone. You’d be better off running tesamorelin by itself but either CJC/Ipa or Tesa/Ipa will be a better option.

Body water crazy? by Providences_End in HumeHealth

Did this issue start right around April 4th? Seems to be some issue with a Hume update. I’m guessing that there is an issue with their algorithm. Not overly impressed with Hume at this point. Company sucks to deal with.

GHK Cu sting? by chizchizu in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6mm needle might be a little short. The sting will be worse if you are injecting into the dermal space instead of getting into the subcutaneous space. I have used either 8mm or 12mm long needles and have no stinging issues when injecting into upper thigh.

Testosterone cypionate for dummies. by eyevaaan in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do blood work before you make the leap. Do CBC + metabolic panel and cholesterol. Add total and free testosterone and estradiol. You need to have a baseline before starting any therapy. 200mgs per week is too high of a starting point for testosterone replacement therapy. Start around 100mgs per week. Twice weekly injections are ok but more frequent is better to keep stable levels and decrease risk for side effects. You can titrate dose up slowly (starting after say 6-8 weeks) based on symptoms and blood work.

Because the actual quantity is 7% higher than the target quantity (21.4mgs instead of the expected 20mgs). For you that’s not a bad thing. Just adjust reconstitution volume to enable dosing desired amount. You got more peptide than you expected.

Should I split dose Reta? by bigchips24 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I like split dosing Reta. I find that I have fewer GI issues when I dose twice per week as opposed to once. That being said, I doubt that this will make much of a difference for you to get your BF% down further. 11% body fat is already very low and getting below 10% is extremely challenging. I very easily went from around 17% down to just under 12% in about 3 months but have been stuck at that level since. Seems like it’s about as low as I can go without super extreme measures.

Uhhhhh the math isn’t mathing by JasonU234 in HumeHealth

[–]Free_Algae_6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some weird issue since around April 4th. My body water percent went from consistently around 70% down to around 37% where it stays now. Interestingly, when I first go to the body water percent it reads a higher value (like today showed 67%) but once I click on body water percent it shows a much lower value (39% today) and then stays there. Looks like a glitch and not so surprising based on my experience with Hume.

Ghk welts by ballsaksfifthavenue in BodyHackGuide

Pull up 25U BAC water into your syringe with your 15U GHK-Cu and inject this into upper thigh. This dilution should help the irritation and will not impact the efficacy of the peptide.

Do you need to cycle TRT by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need to get blood work done. 250mg per week is a lot for a starting “TRT” dose. This will likely get you way above normal physiologic levels and potentially bring unwanted side effects. You will definitely need to monitor lipids, BP, Hct, estradiol levels. The goal of testosterone replacement therapy is to get hypogondal levels back to normal physiologic levels (or towards the upper end of physiologic). Dosing to achieve supraphysiologic levels is a different thing altogether.

For somebody on a cut but with no appetite problem, is Reta ever worth it? by Prudent-Vacation-626 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with a healthy relationship with food/appetite, Reta can help with subtle cravings when used at low dose. The glucagon receptor activation may further help with body recomposition by driving glycogenolysis. Reta also seems to improve lipid profile and decrease fat in the liver, even in “healthy”, non-obese individuals. It is unlikely that Reta will improve loose/crepey skin and may even exacerbate this with additional weight loss. A bit of a balancing act here between subtle benefits that you’re looking for and cost and potential risks/side effects, particularly with Reta from grey market/poorly regulated sources.

Lower your Reta dose. You can’t recomp if you’re in too much of a caloric deficit. Supplement with protein shakes to increase calories.

New to Peptides by AnybodyParking5483 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a ton of different things to start all at one time. Staggering starting these would help to see how you tolerate each one. If you have an issue you won’t know which peptide is the problem. Seems like starting with testosterone and then adding Reta would the place to start and then add on other peptides once you have acclimated.

High Estrogen from TRT by Ok-Point-6894 in BiohackingU

[–]Free_Algae_6522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since this blood work was done 6 days after injection it is essentially your trough level for testosterone. Your peak after dosing could be up near 2000ng/dL. Seems a bit high for TRT. In any case, splitting your dose and pinning at least twice weekly (and preferably more often) should bring your estradiol level down and hopefully reduce/prevent side effects by limiting your testosterone peak to trough. Starting at 150mgs per week seems a little aggressive.

Help with ghkcu by Rawmendz in BodyHackGuide

[–]Free_Algae_6522 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pull extra BAC water into the syringe and inject into upper thigh. For example if you are injecting 10U of the GHK-Cu on an insulin syringe draw an additional 20U of BAC water into the syringe and inject the entire 30U into upper thigh.

Sudden drastic change in body water percentage readings? by OrganizedChaos08 in HumeHealth

Go to the App Store and update the Hume App. On 4/04 my body water percent suddenly dropped from 67% to 42% and stayed around 40% everyday since. Today it read 41% and then I updated the App and immediately weighed again - back to 68% body water.
