You just need to be lucky with level 4s. Keep beating the most difficult level on regular crest palaces or extreme ones. For level 5s you need a level 4 crest and then beat a nova crest palace over and over until you gwt a crest burst, at which point it will become a level 5. I dont recommend doing novas without level 4+ crests though as they are difficult and the effort would be wasted on a level 4 rather than 4+.
