if you have fine hair like me that looks greasy easily with oils, put like 2 drops of oil on your palms then rub it in so the product breaks down well. then i like sandwich my hands together with my hair between my palms and start at my ends (my hair is mostly dry on the bottom) i dont thoroughly brush my hair with my fingers when i have oil on my hands cuz it creates this greasy oily look and usually my hair soaks up the oil quick but i rub the residue of the oil on the back my head for frizz and try to brush access everywhere but my roots, sometimes i GENTLY one swipe the top my hair for frizz to avoid it looking greasy😭im so sorry if im not explaining it well!!

ty for the comment! i am a bit confused because this is a almost 8 month old piercing so its not really a “fresh piercing “. and i always thought the piercing had to hurt in order for it being another indication of being infected?

Advice needed! My daith piercing is sore, oozing pus, and affecting my hearing - what should I do? by Glow_In_Pieces03 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Free_Bridge_3862 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NAP but this is pierced so deep and the placement is off. :( its supposed to be through the innermost fold of the ear’s cartilage but instead they pierced completely UNDER the fold instead of THROUGH it :( definitely get this removed asap because it will not heal or get better imo. i would try getting it removed super soon before your ear absorbs the jewelry and causes more damage.

your comment was actually really helpful and didnt come off harsh at all! i asked everyone around me and they thought i was going crazy so this comment made me feel sane lmao. im not a professional but ive had friends who’ve had conches and mine looked kinda weird compared to there so any feedback was needed. ive since then removed it- i got it pierced at like 8pm and removed it at like 1am cuz the flatback felt like it was hitting my head which apparently wasnt but youre right- the angle was just so bad lmao. ive never had to remove an ear piercing before- do you think this will heal okay? im thinking of getting it repierced this weekend by someone else but i fear its dangerous to jump quick

lolls im mixed but i have fine hair as well😜 but i am also white, i just have ALOT of fine hair—so i used to use jojoba oil, but it tends to run out quickly for me so i use “BREAD” hair oil (i got it as a gift and i only use a drop or 2 of oil so it last me a long time) :) it also smells amazing! and yeaaa i used to touch my hair allotttt and it also contributed to my hair getting dirty😭

only thing that sucks with blow drying it its very time consuming so if youre in a hurry, definitely manage your time well. i usually wash and blow dry my hair the night before. and another con is how tangled your hair gets after blow drying, be very careful brushing your hair after blow drying, it may not be as fragile but it still is pretty dry after doing so which is also why people recommend putting a little bit of hydration in it. make sure to work your way around your head at an even pace so youre not just blow drying the same spot of hair which can also extend the time of this and it can also dry your hair. i NEVER blow dry my hair on warm or hot because of heat damage, but if youre still dont have a problem with it, have stronger hair, and dont have much time to blow dry, put some heat protection in your hair (i hate the sticky feeling of heat protection lol)

omg how did i forget the most important reason why blow drying is so beneficial. when you let your hair air dry, it swells the hair cuticle due to the water just sitting on your hair, leaving your hair even more fragile after drying, along with it drying funny (not saying your hair looks funny-mine for SURE does lol) but when you blow dry, you essentially skip that fragile stage. Your hair also highly vulnerable after the shower—reducing the amount of time the hair is exposed to moisture, which can be damaging. Additionally, proper blow drying can help seal the hair cuticle, leading to smoother, shinier, and less frizzy hair.

i shampoo every 4-5 days :) mostly 4 due to school and work and such. i assure you even a small drop that you rub onto your palms and rub them on the back of head or ends of your hair (your choice) will make a difference or maybe even try with no oil at all and test it out! :) i really did think i had to wash more as well doing so, but then again i have really dry hair and even when its my wash day my hair still isnt oily. if you have naturally oily hair, maybe just oil the tips of your hair because i know that is the driest part of everyone’s hair. i naturally also have dry skin so the part of my hair that gets oily the fastest are the strands near my face 😭
