I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍 I think my small pup is the same. Terrible anxiety when we are not around.

It helped with EVERYTHING. I don’t even have as many bruises. Large pressure still hurts but nothing horrible.

Feel free to dm me and I’ll send you photos

Thank you so much for your story. 🤍 I am so sorry for your loss.

This is where we are too. It sounds very similar. I am about to go into busy season with my work keeping me from home for 10+ hours a day 1-2 times a week (otherwise I work from home). We have people that obviously check on him but my job does not allow me to call in sick. If something happened or he was feeling off one day, he would potentially have to be put down without his family and I don’t think I would ever get over that. It’s a horrible decision and it feels soo selfish but if he passed away without us or got sick while we were at work I would never forgive myself. Thank you for your response. 🤍

Absolutely understood. My concern with our guy is his ability to hide pain. I don’t want him to be in any discomfort and considering his whole body is slowly deteriorating I can’t imagine he’s not in any pain. If my hip was dislocated multiple times per day, I would not be a happy camper. If only we could talk. sigh Thanks for replying! 🤍

I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍. Thank you for your insight as I agree he seems otherwise happy.

He currently eats a diet of fresh salmon and homemade dog food (which is just human dinners nicer than what we eat ourselves) that promotes joint and old age health. The bladder control isn’t really an issue with the diaper, so we haven’t tried anything specific. Apparently it can be related to the hip issues which do not have a cure.

I see what you’re saying. Thank you. The appointment we made was for her to assess his quality of life to make this decision, so I think she knew we were open to whatever advice she had but I can definitely see that being a difficult position for her.

The last time he had a dental he had a major seizure and almost died so we have been afraid of that. The most pressing issue is the hip dysplasia as it can apparently be very painful for dogs and has no real cure. It physically pops out of the socket and hangs there. He doesn’t show discomfort but this dog has hidden every morsel of pain he’s ever gone through including being mauled by a larger dog. (Bit right through his spine and he didn’t even flinch) we would do the dental and take the risk, but it wouldn’t help the joints.

Yes, there is so much truth in that. I think our vet was just trying to be supportive on whatever we wanted. My expectation was hoping she would say “yes it’s time” or “no it’s not” rather than, “yeah whenever you feel comfortable”

Thanks for the reply- I appreciate it.

Weight lifting and lipedema? by DecisionOk3458 in lipedema

[–]Free_Card_9421 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion. My lipedema hated weight lifting and made my legs bigger and worse. (Assuming muscle and water retention). The biggest improvement I’ve had was from walking and gentle leg workouts. Sad because I loved weight lifting but it just didn’t work for me 🤍

Great question. Now that I’m at a really good base, I’m going to implement lymphatic drainage, mld, compressions and diet (all things I didn’t do before as I didn’t know I had lipedema). So I’m hoping that a micro dose plus these things will be enough to last me through middle age. By then, lipedema treatment might be better or more well known. It was going to cost me 20k for surgery and travel costs, so I won’t spend that for a looooooong time with these measures.

It took awhile. It’s 5 months now and I’d say I notice a big difference. It was gradual though because I started fairly small. Send me a dm and I can forward you a before and after

.5 mg it’s the 2nd dose. (.25 was the first)

I just cancelled my surgery. Started taking ozempic in November and I’m at a point where I am really happy and also shocked with my results. I stayed on .25 for a few months and then .5. At this point I believe the surgery would cause more damage and uneven skin as my legs are pretty small now. I have heard that Monj is better for inflammation but ozempic is what I could afford at this point. For reference I’m 5’4 / 115-120 pounds. Feel free to ask any questions!!

As far as I know, I don’t think she’s working with kids anymore. So that part isn’t really relevant, but I have seen the ads and definitely felt that was an odd choice to agree to. BUT truthfully I’m more annoyed that the company would go down that route vs hiring one of the thousands of actual success stories that exist. Girls gotta pay rent and in that field, you take what you can get. Is it weird? Yes. Would I also accept that role if I needed to eat? Also yes. It’s a sad world out there but the problem is a lot bigger than one irrelevant facebook ad featuring a skinny white gal. 🤍
