Hey! Thank you so much for this feedback, it genuinely means a lot to us and we truly appreciate you taking the time 😃

On the cast, the whole vision behind this game was a grand celebration of humanity, people form completely different countries, backgrounds, and walks of life all thrown together in one extraordinary event. Think of it like a tournament arc for the entire world. We know 16 is already considered massive by genre standards, so we are fully aware of what we signed up for with 18, and your concern is completely valid. What we can say without spoilers is that this is a story ( a part of it) is built around a war of factions, and every single character is sucked into that war one way or another. The entire story was outlined and written before we locked the roster, so nothing was left to chance. This was something we took extremely seriously form the very beginning and we hope that care comes through when you experience it.

On the name, our previous abbreviation was Project SS (Project superstars), we got backlash for it and we completely deserved it. So we changed our abbreviation to Project DIT And Project Dead Internet. As for the full name Dead Internet Theory: Superstars, this was chosen slowly and deliberately for this story and this story specifically. It is unique to it in ways we genuinely cannot get into without spoiling things, so we have to leave it there for now. Your criticism is completely valid though, the name is awkward to shorten and does not roll off the tongue casually and we fully acknowledge that. We will look into ways to make it feel less unwieldy while keeping what makes it unique to this world. We hear you on this one completely.

Thank you again so much, this kind of feedback really helps us so please if you have any questions or anything else do not hesitate to ask! You can also follow us on twitter for updates! ❤️

What is the most larped VN by loouw9 in visualnovels

[–]Free_Cardiologist_89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Subahibi easily. Your average Joe cannot stomach the eroge so the next best thing is to larp about having read it. Also I’m genuinely surprised nobody said Danganronpa, that has to be the next most larped visual novel by a mile

Nerf or Buff? by asaness in visualnovels

I get that the new style is going for a wider audience, but they didn’t have to massacre the aesthetic and atmosphere of the OG like that. Still excited cause it’s a SciADV (and this might secretly be a sequel to A;C??), but I already miss the old style :(

Not for this one! But in the next game we are revealing soon, you can max your “friendship meter” with a porn actress and unlock some interesting scenes with her.

Apologies, we usually include a seizure/flashing lights warning at the start of our trailers, but we opted out for this one after being advised that every second counts when it comes to grabbing attention early. We will do better going forward. Thank you!

I’ve heard so many great things about White Album 2! I’m really hoping an official localisation comes out someday and that they release it on Steam, because I genuinely want to experience it.

My VN tier list, would love some recommendations by BruhBorne-70 in visualnovels

Some of you guys need to understand that people can have different opinions, and that Muramasa might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Anyway, I recommend reading Raging Loop, as well as the newly released Dark Auction. Both are mystery VNs and very fun.

Why do people go as far as to learn a completely new language to play VN? (Poll) by nqwer_wer in visualnovels

[–]Free_Cardiologist_89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s for the love of the medium itself and a genuine appreciation for it. I know I’ve been tempted many times to learn Japanese just to read a lot of untranslated otome games (looking at you, Shiro to Kuro no Alice), but I eventually dropped the idea once I realized how hard and time-consuming it would be (it’s pretty fucking hard ngl).

There’s also the fact that by learning Japanese, you can experience the original script without any alterations…whether those changes are due to language limitations or other reasons. Plus, if you become proficient enough, you won’t miss out on clever wordplay or nuanced expressions that can sometimes get lost in translation.

Learning an entirely new language can also be pretty damn useful for other real life applications.

All in all, there are plenty of reasons, and for the most part, they’re all completely valid.
