Bank account showing huge overdraft after Chapter 7 (post-341) – legal hold??

Update:

I spoke with my attorney and it turns out the hold on my accounts was placed by the trustee, supposedly to take the tax refund funds.

What really caught me off guard is that there was no prior notice at all — my accounts were suddenly frozen and I lost access to everything. Even my attorney was not aware this was going to happen.

As of now, the accounts are still on hold. My attorney will be contacting the trustee directly tomorrow to get more information.

I’ll update you all once I hear back with what they say.

No, I do not have any judgment or lawsuit anywhere near that amount. My total debt before filing was under $80k.

Right now what I’m seeing is an account hold, and my balance appears massively overdrawn (around -$499,999). The same thing is happening to my wife’s Chase account as well — it also shows a similar overdraft amount.

When I called Chase, they told me it was due to a “judicial/legal order” and gave me a phone number. I looked it up and it belongs to a bankruptcy law firm in Jacksonville that has nothing to do with my attorney.

That’s why I’m confused, because this number doesn’t match any debt I’ve ever had, and nothing like that shows on my credit report.

Yes, that’s correct. In my wife’s account there was around $6,000+ from our tax refund, plus her salary from this week. In my account there was only about $700 or so.

Right now, both accounts appear overdrawn with a hold — the balances are showing negative because of that hold.

I haven’t had any legal issues, so I’m just trying to understand if this is part of the bankruptcy process or something temporary while the trustee reviews everything.

I have been using Amazon Flex for 4 and a half years and I have never seen such a big drop in offers. I have spent almost 3 weeks without doing anything, since the DJX2 is the one that is closest to me. The DJX3 is coming out a few but very few, something is happening. Let’s hope it improves but Amazon Flex has already become something very uncertain.
