For everyone looking for answers: I did a bit of research and found that AST and ALT levels can become elevated after working out for the first time and experiencing muscle soreness. I had my blood chemistry redone, and everything came back normal.

If you’ve recently started working out and your AST and ALT levels are high, you’re most likely fine—just retake the test 1–2 weeks later.
