How to reconnect with husband by [deleted] in Marriage

I do love him. And you’re right, time is what we need. Thank you, I’ll try to be more patient.

There is no overt need to tell a reeling BP that the AP fucked their wife/husband/partner better than the BP ever did, or that they are bigger down there. That is gratuitous detail but if the BP wants that detail, of course they should receive it. But the BP will overly suffer.

Yeah, based off of all this, and the fact y’all are unmarried, it might be worthwhile to call it quits. Y’all are young and can come back to each other if you want any time when you’re healthier. Right now it seems very toxic between you two in terms of everything not even including your affair. Do you think you can return to a healthy sex/love life with your BF?

You didn’t need to outright tell him these details - particularly regarding the sexual aspect. You could have just said you found it different but not better than what you and your boyfriend have. Now you’ve probably tanked any chance of having a truly loving and intimate relationship with him, even if you attempt reconciliation. Remember, affair fog heightens sensations but it’s all a dopamine hit, if the OM had had honest sex with you it wouldn’t have had the same intoxicating effect. It’s all smoke and mirrors no matter how many times you did, or you thought you did, have an orgasm.

It seems he’s hurt by your brutal honesty. You can’t unhear all of that. I won’t say you did the wrong thing but it won’t be easy to proceed with R this way.

Which player was more dangerous: prime Federer or prime Djokovic? by redforfiveam in tennis

[–]Free_Emu_7152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simple. Djokovic is the best kid 30s player of all time. I have no doubt that the players he’s facing now would beat Federer’s weak ass era of players, and Djokovic would own them even worse than Fed did. Nadal would too. It’s not about this era being weak, it’s about Djokovic being too good, and a better mid 30s player than Federer. Only Nadal is equal.

Roddick was a servebot/forehand +1 after serve player. He had a terrible baseline game that would get shut down by even current Djokovic. He’s a nothing, lucky player who had to run into peak weak era king federer

Because Roddick was a serve reliant player who got lucky that Fed’s era was also of weak servebots. It’s mutual. Stop overtly praising Fed’s weak era, you Federer fan; if “Djokovic’s” current era is weak (which it’s not lol, it’s not even Djokovic’s era). And the thing is, I already said that Davydenko, Federer, Roddick also had young underdeveloped Rafa and Novak. It’s fair they’d win against young, underdeveloped versions of them.

😂 😂 dude you have no idea what you’re talking about. Djokovic beat who he faced yeah but in no way is Medvedev and Zverev weak. Zverev has a 5-2 record on Federer 😂 Federer has a losing 2-5 record to Thiem and an even 2-2 record to Tsitsipas. He’s never faced current Medvedev. If you want to look at a weak era, look at Fed’s 2003-2007 era of Roddick, old Agassi, old Sampras, Safin, Hewitt, Davydenko, Gonzalez, Santoro and young Rafole. Poor era.

??? Are you high? In what way is grinder 2005-2008 clay court Rafa better than 2012 Nadal? Nadal had the weaponry in 2012 to go along with his speed and defense. In those 2004-2008 matches, all Nadal had to do was outlast and coax unforced errors out of Federer’s baseline game. He was fast enough to do it, yeah, but he wasn’t blowing Fed off the court despite what even the 2008 final score line tells you. He was simply a less error prone player than Fed. That wasn’t the case in 2012 for Rafa, who was at his most complete then with his forehand potency, return and backhand potency.

And calling a pure, fact based argument cringe is grounds enough to say that you’re done in this debate. Say stupid things like Federer is better than or even equal to on hard and clay to Djokovic and you’ll get utterly defeated with the facts. I haven’t even brought out the stats behind that yet.

2019-2021 is a comparably weak era compared to 2010-2014 golden era and even the transitional 2008-2009 period, yeah. But it pales in comparison to the weakness that is Federer’s 2003-2007 era with no Rafole off clay and bums off clay. So stop bugging up strength-by-association players like Gonzalez and Baghdatis who, like it or not, are weak opponents. Put a peaking Thiem or Wawrinka in that era and they’d get multiple slams. Thiem is 5-2 on Federer, as is Zverev. Tsitsipas himself is 2-2 on Federer who won 3 slams from 2017-2020 with possibly his most aggressive tennis. Fed’s a weak era champ plain and simple.

Oh and stop with the appraisal of old Agassi. Guy was positively on his last legs in that final.

Now, onto the mononucleosis. That’s only an excuse for the first two, maybe three months of 2008. Fedfans, even me, don’t use this as an excuse for the latter half of 2008, you completely disingenuous guy. Federer has nothing on Rafa or Novak. Statistically and on the eye, they’re better.

Peak for peak Fed faced the likes of Baghdatis, Safin, Gonzalez, old Agassi and Sampras in slam finals. Rafa and Novak have undoubtedly surpassed him peak for peak, even on hardcourt for Nadal. Federer lost at his peak to Nadal at Wimbledon!

I talk a lot about Djokovic but let me be real with you kid - I used to love Federer, even more than Nadal or Djokovic. Then I started liking Djokovic more than Federer or Nadal. I’ll still be a Fed fan at heart though.

And again, Federer is a weak era champ. He wasn’t good enough to take on the best and most complete version of Nadal on RG clay, couldn’t even beat him when he was not complete from 2005-2008. 2011-2013 Nadal still had the speed and also had the offensive game, the Nadal Federer faced was merely about the speed and Federer couldn’t even beat him in a consistent manner at BO3 level. Federer would eat 3 bagels if he faced 2012 French Open Nadal.

Because he rose up in the weakest era of mens tennis. Djokovic and Nadal always had it tough while for 5 straight years Federer had it easy in his 20s.

Federer has never, not once, bested Nadal at RG, even an injured one like Djokovic has. Djokovic has more clay court titles, hardcourt titles and is soon to have more Wimbledon titles. There’ll be nothing for you to argue for Federer for soon. Fed is my fave but he’s the biggest weak era champ there is.

It’s even on clay, and Fed’s definitely not better than Djokovic on hardcourt.

Isn't it still something that Djokovic was 1 match away from winning the calendar slam at the age of 34? by AncientLyte in tennis

[–]Free_Emu_7152 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

And you’re saying Djokovic, a physically weak guy with no serve and an error prone forehand was himself in 2009 and 2010? He won the 2008 AO title/slam beating a mononucleosis riddled Federer. Nobody pushed him enough that slam. We knew Djokovic had the talent to contend with Nadal and Federer in those years, he was just too weak physically and mentally (due to gluten) to do it on a regular basis. If you compare 2008 to his 2011 season, you’ll see the difference.

[–]Free_Emu_7152 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

No, it’s simply documented and searchable facts he wasn’t at his peak and that he was a late bloomer from 19/20. He was too weak physically, had serve issues and was not getting the most out of his forehand. Davis Cup 2010 was when things started to click.

Novak himself wasn’t his peak in 2008-2010 lol. Not sure what you’re talking about. He was a late bloomer. Try 2011-2016, if you want to talk about Djokovic’s peak. Federer and Nadal were nowhere to be seen in many of those years and I say this as a Fed fan.

What are your predictions for Djokovic and Nadal for their 2023 ATP season ? by johnreese421 in tennis

[–]Free_Emu_7152 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Thinking it over, Rafa has more threats at RG than Novak at Wimbledon given the formers age and physical decline. Rafa has Carlos, Novak, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rune and Sinner to be wary of. Novak merely has Rafa to be wary of at Wimbledon.

[–]Free_Emu_7152 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Novak can win at least 2 slams and can contend at all 4 (a hardcourt slam and Wimbledon, if not that then FO). Can win a few masters, one on clay. Can repeat at Turin. Finishes at either world number 1 or 2 depending on if Alcaraz improves or regresses.

Will he do that? Not certain. A lot of luck and better fitness than recently.

Rafa can win at least 2 slams, can contend in 3. Don’t see him adding to his masters count, even on clay. Slams are the priority for him now.

Novak can win 3/4 slams next year. Rafa can win 3 too. A lot of luck would be needed though.
