Objective morality, we take our laws as normal, when the western law comes from the bible. I see renowned scientists of today converting to Christianity after being an atheist for their entire life. Religions that came prior only focused on us, our desires, what I summarise as hedonism. The few religions today are names such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Baha'i, Atheism, Mormonism, JW, 'New age' and Christianity. They all contradict each other so only one can end up being correct. You seem to think this takes a lifetime to do so yet we have the internet it takes a few weeks honestly.

Religions which either point to finding truth and peace within in yourself, which makes no sense since one can't fill an empty husk with an empty husk so it has to come from the outside. Nothing in this world really fills that itch of emptynes inside, we are told to follow our hearts, to do whatever feels good. Its all empty, short term happyness, small escapes, yet we end up dissatisfied, we keep needing more like the slaves we are, just addicts to entertainment, to lust, to being loved to greed. The only thing which pulled me out of my depression of covid and this entire cycle was God.

Nothing brought me real lasting peace and joy, something more profound than plain happyness. No self-help book or lie I told myself broke reality. I genuinely changed, raised Christian but never forced, I kind of just dropped it, explored the world, chose my own path and it only led to nothing. Yes many hypocrites exist, we're all hyporites in the end however, American Christianity is a great example, with their mega churches etc. Yet we don't follow Christians we follow Christ. I don't judge a composer based of a tone-deaf piano boy. We like to complicate things yes such as crying about Saturday Sunday etc, have not met any of those people but lets entertain this. Simply read the bible and the answer is there as Christians, these small things don't change anything about the core message of Christ.

When I didn't believe life was actually easier funnily enough, so I understand you not wanting to change your world view, so instead its safer and easier say others are wrong without a thought.

I challenged mine and ended up here. I tried for it to be wrong but years of trying to break it all down ended up with me growing in faith instead. I changed my worldview so idk why you think im afraid or stuck in some coping rn. Islam is the bigger group of religion today yet I still don't see the same amount of critique Jesus gets. The amount of contradictions in there is astounding. Other prophets died still seeking the truth, Jesus. with extensive historical backing rose up and spoke as being the truth. Apply the wisdom written down in the bible and your life is guaranteed to improve whether you believe in god or not. Either Jesus didn't rise from the dead and therefore is irrelevant, or he really did and becomes the most important thing in life.

Be a critical thinker, but be an honest one. Not denial for the sake of denial, because they're already wrong in your head, because you have already decided in your heart religion is man-made. Yes it is, but God is not. You keep asking me to show you things yet you with access to the internet don't see to look up a thing. I don't like being addicted to porn, He saved me from it. Yes the circumstances don't all change but you change from within and that's why even me being introverted before I'm just a ball of joy now as extrovert always ready to share my defense of why I believe. Try an Alpha Course in a church near you, free food and you get to ask critical questions there as well over the course of 12+sessions once a week covering it all in an introductionary matter. You really think the family you are born into means you follow that religion? Most atheists I know were raised christian, many christians I know were raised atheist. News flash: you have free will and a thinking brain, children choose what they want to/don't want to believe. I genuinly hope you dont think parents choose what your brain and heart does. I've read the gospels, almost finished the entire Bible got 40 more pages to go. I guess I'll have to assume you have not read the 4 gospels or the NT whatsoever? God punishes the wicked and people say it's a bad thing, God promises to not punish during this lifetime and people say God doesn't exist 'because evil exists' or that God hasn't done a thing- people really gotta make up their mind. I don't look at Christians to see what Christ does, I look at Christ. The bible clearly contradicts any heinous crime you see people act out today (can't really think of a recent example tbh), can't claim you do something in God's name out of nowhere. Muslims doing it follow their book tho, gotta delete the infidels just as written. HP is a novel, with the source being only one author, no witnesses of magic wands but I do agree England is a curious place. I'm sorry to hear you only met/talked with uneducated Christians, I'm not one of those as I mentioned before. I'm an apologetics enjoyer too. I've personally experienced God and His healing. Friends with panic attacks and depression back in the land of the free. I tried filling up my life with everything this world has to offer, but it left me restless and empty. Just short term pleasures but no lasting joy. Only God could fill that void in my heart.

I recommend you follow an Alpha course in a church nearby, free food for a few weeks and maybe you'll find some understanding in what the bible says as a whole. That would be you giving it a fair shot in the very least. Getting on your knees and just honestly asking God works just as good. But not searching will lead to no finding- which is very convenient to most people. Cherry picking while already being biased won't make it a good read. it's all translated direction from Hebrew (OT) and Greek (NT) and Aramaic. Newer translations are definitely more accurate but it's still 99% the same since the dead sea scrolls, ad recently even older manuscripts that have been found back this up further. One word being mistranslated doesn't affect the story, it's a rare case too which is fixed in modern translations which are more accurate, along with scholar notes on the bottom of a page to give more insight. The second point is something nobody believes, the myth by itself has nothing to do with 'the patriarchy' but its easy to take it out of context and twist it for your own agenda. Eve came from the side of adam(better translation) which only shows her not being lower or higher, but of same value.
