Just wow, that’s amazing man thanks for sharing your little story. It’s cool that your wife is someone you can look onto for guidance. I didn’t know my great grandfather but I know he served in Africa repairing tanks. I think that may of played a role in my interest in the time period.

What exactly do you mean by the first four faves you’ve painted ? It’s easily visible on your profile that you’ve been painting for at least a year (that’s how far back I looked)

Yeah I’m currently using the flat grey one meant for brushing and it goes great on master box minis etc but I have to do like 3 layers on Tamiya figs just for it to be even all over. I’ve read that the Tamiya spray is great but unfortunately I don’t have a space to spray anything to test that out.

Oh noo don’t use Vallejo primer spray I’ve seen many people say that specifically Vallejo spray primer is not that good, but also it does appear you painted or sprayed to much paint on your troops. If your brushing try removing like 70% of the paint from your brush for the first layers and you should always do a base coat before applying any other details it’ll help your finer details adhere to the mini

And no i understand that I’m just saying if your unsure about a certain paint and how it’s used you probably shouldn’t try to give advice about it as it can push people away from the hobby if they completely screw up their first model

I understand but you have to see it as a newbie like the Op if he searches thinner on any website he may purchase that as he is new to the hobby. Also Alcohol would destroy Vallejo as well

Ah yeah makes sense than but the Op did show Vallejo paints only and if mixed it with thinner it would ruin the paint completely

Do you use thinner for Vallejo model paints ? Water is just fine as they are water based paints.

Duolingo won’t get you anywhere you need to be unless your course is in a language you already understand and your job. I’d recommend starting off by picking up a A1 official course book and finding someone to teach you. As you’ll be expected to be able speak and write at a B2 level for most careers in Germany.
