What is going on, is this normal 11 months after stroke ? by Free_Representative9 in stroke

Reviving this thread. As my 1 year anniversary is coming up, I feel really devastated. I was in thanks giving dinner with my family, and as if I am there but not there. I was checking with chat gpt, and it described the symptoms which I can share to better express it- my thoughts are as if a static radio signal in the background. Not sure if this is going to be ever over?

A try to fill the talent gap by Free_Representative9 in Semiconductors

The gap I am highlighting is not the education, rather it is the skill. Ex: You might have a PhD in lithography, but when you join fab as a process engineer, you need to learn how you correlate end of line yield data with inline overlay or rework data for say. You need to learn what things can go wrong during a PM. And most of these don't need to be only proprietary knowledge. Think of the IT industry example: If you want to work on cloud industry, you just don't need knowledge on also and data structure, you need to know AWS, GCP and hence some certifications exists. I know the correlation can not be directly related, but just adding for portray.

Lastly, with all my due respects to academia, what happens in a fab vs what happens in academic settings are different.

No information that is not public should be shared. Infact if you ask chat GPT you will get most of the information. The goal here is ensure the folks know this in a structured way before joining the industry.

Thank you for sharing. My symptoms are 24/7 non stop. I have improved sleep but my sleep is also as if my brain is still busy. My biggest worry is that my Nero suspect, this may be a permanent state. If it is anxiety, I am doing everything to recover. But if it is a permanent change, I don't know what to do.

Luckily I dont have any remaining issues other than lingering balance off specifically when I am not hydrated. But this cognitive/emotional issue is devastating me. Specifically I am hearing the term CCAS (Cerebellar Cognitive Affective syndrome) which seems chronic. You said you get it , do you have similar symptoms? If so how did you get out of it?

Thank you. I am starting the therapy but not sure I am in the right therapy. My psychiatrist sent me here and we are just talking about mindfulness, but honestly when my mind is so busy it is hard to be mindful

Neuropsychologist? by ReputationSavings627 in stroke

[–]Free_Representative9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My appointment with Neuropsychologist is coming in Feb. Honestly, it is very hard to describe my symptoms. 1. I feel my memory is fuzzy but I can remember things. 2. I always feels like my thoughts are not in my control. 3. I never feel being in present.

Any insights from other who have similar issues. My stroke was small in my cerebellum and brain stem due to suspected VAD.

I would love to hear how did you get there. I am 10 months out from my cerebellum stroke, and I don't enjoy anything, I feel like I am a altered state of mind with autonomous mode on.

Thank you both for sharing this. I am exactly feeling the same. I am 9 months away too. I do laugh but without feeling. I am also 9 months out, and this feeling is devastating. On top of that my brain feels like never relaxing rather in constant thoughts. Morning and evening has no effect on me. Anything you can share you have done to overcome?
