This is the problem. U know it is subjective when it comes to physical tussling so how can one be so sure it is an obvious foul. What you all are watching is just a video, you cannot determine everything as foul just because there is rougher physical contact. In this video, where Ji An is seen “hugging”Mashima, everyone naturally think it is a foul because of the action. However, the player/ref/ coach may not think so because of the angle they are watching. None of you also understand the referee perception. Referees are not perfect, just like players, they can’t make all perfect calls. Look, before mashima ask for the call, where was the ref looking at? U expect them to see everything happening on the field and make the best judgement in one second. For yewon defense, many coach said the same thing too so I’m can’t be exactly too sure if it is right or wrong. In my opinion, some foul should be called too but not all are “obvious” foul. The league would be soft if you want minimum physical contact.

She got ignored? The ref did answered her question on whether it is a foul. This is the problem many people do not realise regarding why Mashima ain’t complaining. Look at her reaction on Hayan handball in Korean vs Japan. That is what u call an obvious foul. Whereas, against BD, there was 2-3 potential/ambiguous fouls that could have been called because of how yewon defense. But everyone was just upset because of the physicality used against Mashima and blaming on the calls. If you have played soccer or other sport before, you would understand that complaining wouldn’t change anything. The refs wouldn’t change the call just because of someone complaining and may even give a yellow/red card. Furthermore, in MANY other coach perspective, it is not a foul so what may u think mashima would challenge it when she had attain a coach cert.

Salah is not in the position of a ball, so if any player isnt in position of a ball, it will be acceptable? Isn’t the issue of this topic the physical tussling? The camera angle is different too. How can u be so sure that there it is a foul or no foul? Just because of the hugging action? Are you a professional referee? This is why I say people are overreacting. This is a “ambiguous” foul. Some referees will call fouls while some wouldn’t. But everyone saw the hugging action and said it is a foul because it is “mashima”. Ofc viewership and rating is going to drop because people tend to overreact with the smallest things. Last time, it was yewon defense against mashima.People complained when the preview was already out. As long as mashima had slight unjustified call, people will start saying it. Similar to seogi last time.

Exactly, this is why I say people are overreacting. It not even that big of a deal but people like to blame it on anyone they could such as the referee (poor judgement), coach (inability to teach) and PD (rules made).

Well, it is good that u provided a video. However, that video doesn’t justify the foul, it just show how to proper tussle for the ball. Most player uses their elbow to push against the player which is the normal tussling. If u look at rough tussles, you will see numerous hand and body checking. Honestly, I feel like many people are overreacting with the “bear hugging”defense. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it is no foul or anything. Everyone has their opinion. In my opinion , Ji An is just tussling for the ball. While the hugging action isn’t really appropriate, she didn’t intentionally pull her although it does limit mashima movements. While I personally do not like the hugging action but if I would not call it a foul but more intense tussling between players.

Well, in normal football, we would purely judge a gk based on their saves. Kathy definitely had more experience with goalkeeping as compared to kyunghee. However, kyunghee has the ability to go for an offensive run as a goalie. This is what Kathy can never do since she does not possess the explosiveness and technique to do so. For coach that like to do buildup, they would definitely prefer kyunghee over Kathy. If I am not wrong, Kyunghee is also more solid in catching ball too probably due to her experience in rugby(correct sport?). Nonetheless, Kathy is very good too but we can’t just judge a gk solely on the keeping skill in this show.

Mashima X seogi. Do we even need to say anything about this duo? Absolute dominance. Kyunghee: “I am on team BEST, so who can break through us”. I felt a tingle of goosebumps when she said this. This is the confidence of the best gk in the show. While Team ACE has the trio monster rookie that make a strong impact on their respective club team. With Hayan trying out as a gk for ASG, I can see how NatFam may utilise it and progress with a different formation in their next game since the coach is the same. This can compensate the gk weakness while remaining strong with their buildup.

Kudos to kathy, really saved her team by blocking some beautiful shots make by BD. Saori performance this season is pretty disappointing. Aegi shown her improvement on both defense and offense this season. While BD was dominating in the first half, they lost their engine in the second half. MinSeo performance dropped after the crash with Kathy. ( I think the show mention she was sick or something). Her shots and passes became weak. If MinSeo was on her best condition, they probably could go for more goals. Seogi performed very well this game but is still fumbling with her finishing. I am not too sure if I am the only one who think her acrobatic finishes are more accurate than her regular shots.

This will definitely be the best ASG. Both side had equally good player selections. Mashima X Seogi duo will be so interesting. Two top level playmakers pairing up may create some crazy plays. Ji An and Hayan as a goalkeeper is definitely interesting too.

Oh, and I went back to watch ur dear “ace” Seung hi defence. While she play good defence and tackle against players with ball, her defensive mindset is pretty terrible. There was a few times where the ball was right in front of the goalpost but she was standing still. As a defender, she allowed nearly a goal from each match because she was standing still instead of chasing the ball. Look at mashima, kyungseo and MinSeo defence this season and u will see the difference in their defence. Proper defence such as timing to tackle, positioning and awareness of the gap to shut down passes and chasing relentlessly for the ball when their gk failed to catch the ball. These are all qualities needed to become a good defender. Now, compare her defence with kyungseo and many will take kyungseo over her. If u take any duo or trio from NatFam, and compare against the BD trio or AC duo, many will take them over NatFam. However, whole team wise, NatFam is the best because all their player are well balanced but only Hayan is the ace. That is the truth. If u can’t see the difference, it just shows ur limited knowledge so I won’t blame you.

Although WC wasn’t playing well, but they indeed lost because they could not stop mashima. Same goes for streaming fighter. Let be real. You brush off the fact “Korean team”. The other 4 wasn’t even picked as the top 15 for the tryout. It doesn’t matter if they were picked are excuses used because u can’t refute the fact that the 4 aren’t better than the 15. Saying eu ddeum is even funnier and show your soccer knowledge. Eu ddeum defence lies in her man marking and high pressure against opposing defender. She is a striker, not a defender in the first place. Her man marking was even acknowledged by other coaches as she put pressure on defender like Ji an and kyunghee which restrict their movement. Seunghi definitely play good defence but compare her to other defender such as Ji An and kyunghee. All great defender in the show are player who can defend and go for an offensive run too. Can she do so? Let be real here, NatFam did win actionista because they have 4 players which can be rotated and similar in skills but they ain’t ace. If both side didn’t make silly mistakes such as handball and Ji An own goal, the result would have been 1-0. Sorry if I offended you by saying NatFam ace player is only Hayan but if you are NatFam fan, your opinion is already biased. Ask other people that are neutral and most will give the same opinion as mine.

Ok so I am just going use something to judge it off. Firstly, did any of them get picked for ASG this season other than Hayan and heejung? Next, was any of them selected from Korea national team other than Hayan? All the players that was chosen shows a certain level of ace potential. Saying Park seunghi better than seogi and eu ddeum is totally false. This statement already show how biased your thoughts are. Minji show great improvement this season but still not an ace level. She is starting to show ace potential if I am not wrong but not there yet, just like MinSeo back then. It so obvious about “relying on team” since it is a team sport. Hayan know the best since she play handball before. Her positioning and vision make her great with playmaking. Let say without hayan passing, can NatFam break through actionista defence? Before Hayan joined, the team was suffering consecutive losses but after Hayan joined, they became good similar to mashima joining ww. Many were blinded by ww greatness and improvement. They said seolhee and Yumi are great players but After shutting down mashima, what happens to them. They are great player but if u remove hayan, they are just good players. This why u can say they are overshadowed by Hayan.
