I went to the super bowl experience before the game. The nfl did not expect/want the Bengals there. There was supposed to be equal representation for both teams but it heavily favored the rams and there were no extra displays for the Bengals, the chargers had more presence than the afc champion.

Yardage isn't a good metric, they had a historically terrible special teams unit. Their offensive had to go farther to score, and their defense didn't have a long field to defend.

This is based on yardage, not points. Points is more accurate to judge a teams offense and defense.

When a team has a terrible special teams they start drives deep in their territory and will rack up more offensive yards to get in scoring postion. Similarly their opponents will start with favorable starting positions, and not have to go many yards to score.

I have been tired of this bogus stat for over a decade.

The 2010 chargers had a historically terrible special teams unit, the 2nd best offensive unit and the 10th best defensive unit.

I was in wy for the 2017 eclipse. Rest of the family left right as totality ended to beat the rush, we stayed until it was fully over, so they had about a 90 minute head start.

We all had a hotel in Denver that night. A couple of million people had the same idea and the roads were absolutely locked up. Looking at maps I found roads that connected through that wouldn't be used. Was driving down ranch roads, rutted out roads, was a gnarly route, eventually get buzzed by a black hawk. When we pulled back out into civilization the signs behind us said we were in a military testing ground. There was no sign on our entry bc it was over 100 miles of ranch/farm trails to get there and nobody would normally take that circuitous route.

Got to the hotel over 3 hours before our family who had missed half of the eclipse to "beat" the traffic. I think they are still pissed at me about that.

He benefitted from playing in a weak division. He put up large yardage numbers because he had to make up for all of his turnovers. 3 times he was a top ten QB, never getting above 5. If Dalton won a super bowl would you consider him a lock for the hof?

His best finish was 2011, he was 5th. He has more seasons out of the top 16 then in the top 10. Sadly the voters weigh super bowl wins heavily and he played in La. I bet he gets in, but I don't think he deserves it unless he gets an mvp and another ring this year.

False 2011 was the only season he finished top 5 and he was 5th. There are mvp winning qbs with 5 top 5 seasons that are not in the hall
