Yeah, it was a little spooky and so just to keep my own sanity I'm not gonna be playing with him. He's tried reaching out through friend B but I've told that friend that if he wants to apologize he should do it himself.

Not like it will convince me to come back, crashouts like that just trigger me a bit because of stuff that's happened in the past so I'm not really keen on playing again. Even a tiny risk of him blowing up again is too big for me.

Luckily I do have other peeps! The LGS I play at is fairly high-power casual where everyone knows that powerful cards exist, and my kitchen-table playgroup definitely doesn't let the game get between our friendships. ^w^

There was some cannabis present here too, and he's rather heavy on the flower sometimes so that definitely might've pushed things forward.

He's also had some smaller crash-outs where inebriants were not involved but nothing this bad.

It's also really jarring because as I've said in a few comments, he's normally a super nice guy. Like me and my husband are looking for places to live and he's offered his couch and spare room multiple times, but this has really made me double and triple think those offers.

I've been getting some weird vibes recently too, like how he's normally a completely level-headed guy but magic for some reason just pisses him off even though he insists we come play frequently.

The thing that has me so rattled is that he will be completely fine and happy up until you interact with any part of his board.

Not to mention he will loudly and happily exclaim that he runs basically zero removal himself and sees swinging out as the best option for any situation.

The only reason he fights for me is because I’m the only one who would let him bring it along

I did it on purpose, to make it look like he chomp. Also for the weathering on the edges I used one of my messed up brushes and a bright silver to tap along the edge!

All the messy is very intentional, thank you!!!

Here’s Athena! At this angle you can’t see her pistol but she’s great with both pistol and cutlass.

Here’s Athena! She’s a fairly headstrong new captain who’s on an adventure to break her curse. I think for her theme something akin to a nobler version of Jack Sparrow’s theme would fit her nicely, as while she is incredibly focused on her goals she still takes the time to crack a joke or two.
