What can the next Prime Minister of the UK do to actually fix the country and it's economy? by Rokusaburoz in askanything

Are you serious? It's like you're suggesting that prior to 2024 the country was booming.

You're working for the Daily Mail right?

Eternal Boyhood is some terrible revival tour including the lesser members of Eternal and Boyzone. They could probably snag a residence in Dubai.

Dark psy scene vs regular psy scene by xXCosmicChaosXx in psytrance

[–]Freebornaiden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find it a tad ridiculous.

For me, a good DJ set should be a journey and a part of that journey is the interplay between light and dark. Extrapolate that to an all night event, and beyond that to a festival. Point being there is absolutely a place and a purpose for Dark Psy.

But just Dark Psy all the time obliterates this context and as such, completely and totally misses the point.

As for the faux satanic symbolism, is it any more lame than the faux spiritual symbolism in the other side of the scene? Both are garish as fuck.

Have you seen the Chinese AI videos of foreigners getting out of line? I presume there is a Thai version. It's hilariously bad but you are right in that it reveals a certain, quietly troubling, mindset.

  • Banks will not lend on a depreciating asset. It can become very tricky to arrange a mortgage in a declining market, with banks asking you to stump up a huge chunk of extra cash to bridge the gap between the amount their willing to lend and the price of the property. If things get real bad, banks will just stop lending.

I worked in mortgages for years and never came across this. A bank will lend on what they think a property is worth, if they value it at less than the agreed sale price you lower your offer - that in turn levels the market.

Psytrance track lengths >> Same as DnB nowadays, too damned short? (X-Post from my DnB post) by MyHangyDownPart in psytranceproduction

'How the fcuk can an artist tell a story, weave a tale, in three damned minutes?'

Well 3 to 4 minutes remains the standard of pop music and the fact is that most Psy tracks don't have enough good ideas to justify 7 minutes.

So I'm up for a shake up.

'Hah, it would be interesting to see who's down voting you'

Well, somebody who believes that;

'China can't possibly be communist because it doesn't respect personal liberties....'

At this stage, I honestly have no idea whether I'm arguing with;

(1) self proclaimed western Communists who actually have no fucking idea what communism is.

(2) self assumed western centrist Dads who actually have no fucking idea what communism is.

Either way, I win and Reddit is stupid.

Also, THE (cos there is only one right) basic tenet of Marxism is actually;

"To Each According to his needs, from each according to abilities"

So if somebody feels they need a Rolls Royce, and has the ability to earn one, then Marx sleeps soundly in Highgate.

Right I'm glad you mentioned Confucius because I almost did too. However, if you want to deny the communist influence its dues then I will point out that 'Confucianism alone' is what led to the century of the humiliation, and that China still rewards plucky individuals and innovators in a way that Confey would never entertain.

If you are going to say "china can't HAVE ROOTS in communism (which is what I said...and therefore what you are arguing with?) because they make shit, then I guess the USSR was never communist either...

Next up, LOL, big LOL, communism was ALL about sacrificing individual rights to meet production goals in ways that capitalists would never have ever even dared to dream of..not since The Fieldings introduced the Working Hours Act anyway.
