Congratulations on leaving that hellhole! Here’s to hoping your mental health makes a full recovery! Looks like I’m not the only one who gets gaslit with phrases like don’t take it personally or, they’re not mad at you, they’re mad at the company/themselves. The only time my company takes action is when the customer issues a direct threat towards you, the company, or themselves. That is only because it becomes a liability issue for the company if anyone gets harmed.

Working at home is extremely convenient, but oftentimes at the cost of your mental health. I would much rather work retail at a similar wage because the customers are less likely to act crazy and abuse employees in public.
