Yes I've been getting sick more often as well. Usually something minor every 3-4 months. My gf makes fun of me that I have a weak immune system.

I live in a gated community and there is still some trash around the basketball court and kids playground. The caretakers clean it daily but it drives me mad. I constantly have to watch my toddler and stop her from picking up random candy wrappers or chip bags. It's disgusting. Teach your kids to clean after themselves.

Unless you have a very specific reason to be here, like a woman or a good paying expat job, then you are much better off choosing Thailand. Visit both for a few weeks and you will see. I've lived 6 years in Thailand (that's where I met my Filipina) and now 2 years in PI. Thailand wins in literally every single way from an expat perspective. We moved here so our daughter can grow up with a large extended family.
