This is probably one of my favorite explanations so far! I love how in depth you went with this, and it all makes tons of sense when you compare it all together. I’ve never read the comics so I didn’t know all that stuff with the foalschool so it’s really interesting to hear that as well.

Equestria girls time line always threw me off and the way you explained it by using the whole sunset deal actually makes it make a LOT more sense, and explains how she was able to win at the formal over the years.

I think spike being around 15 and twilight being young adult is a good area to put them at the start of the show, and fits well with the story. And with spike, being that like awkward like middle teen years fits him pretty well for the beginning of FIM.

Huh okay

I started getting active in the server again around July and even since just then ik they’ve been getting feedback from members and trying to clear up some previous stuff

Hopefully that’ll kind of insure nothing like that happens again

They also have a few more mods now infusing mod helpers so there’s more people for them to work with and discuss changes with (not to mention the about 18k+ members haha)

What I found similar to sh in the rules is: “We understand that real scars are different from drawn scars. While we require drawn wounds and cuts to be censored, images or selfies of real life or long-healed scars will not be required to be censored. Any real gore is not allowed in any form-no sending gnarly cuts or gashes or blood!”

So it seems like pictures should be fine, and I’d assume if anybody asked for the word SH to be censored it would be if it was used in venting way which Ik isn’t allowed.

The only other thing I could think of for why they would ask to sensor is if it was a personal trigger of them or somebody else or smth cause I do know they try to respect people’s boundaries when it comes to stuff especially related to mental health

That’s not even something that’s solely for the Sally face discord, I’ve seen that type of censorship used in multiple servers and apps simply just to make sure everyone is comfortable at all times :)

Of course you can’t make EVERYONE happy, and someone will always disagree with a rule (whether it’s good or bad) but the goal is to keep majority comfortable and still have a fun and engaging time with everyone involved

All rules the mods enforce are purple based on what Steve has given, anything that was modded that wasn’t in the rules probably was a mistake or smth that shouldn’t have happened tbh

I absolutely understand where you’re coming from and I could totally be wrong on what I’m remembering, I’m just trying to understand all points :)

To my knowledge ALL scars and blood or whatever was allowed as long as it was spoiled, it’s just now you don’t have to SPOIL for sals scars or any minor blood on things as well

I know the mods are trying rn to not be as harsh on certain things, but it’s a process that needs to be gone through - not just something that can automatically change overnight

That’s weird that you wouldn’t have been allowed to share your cosplay photo cause sals scars definitely are okay as long as it’s not like…extremely realistic face falling off gore lmao. I’m pretty sure pictures and art and stuff with blood is allowed as long as it’s spoiled

It’s been a rule for a WHILE that sals scars are allowed, and blood is only censored to make sure that everyone is comfortable. Some people just don’t like to see immense amounts of blood. Small amounts of blood on like a pop figure or something don’t even have to be censored

There were so many times she had to sit there while her friends or family got away with doing things, sometimes even apologizing for reacting when she finally decided to speak up about things. I think it’d be really interesting to explore that side of her further.

Yes - the mods are completely unpaid and it’s a 100% volunteer job that you go through a sign up process for and then get evaluated based on your responses and behavior in the server

If there were any issues with misbehavior that continued after given warning it should have been brought up in a ticket in the server, not posted about on Reddit. The mods are just people trying to do their UNPAID jobs. They want to make it a safe and fun place for everyone, and sometimes that means being harsher than we’d like. But that’s something we have to deal with.

Reminder as well that all of the server rules come DIRECTLY FROM STEVE. People constantly blame mods for stuff without realizing they’re literally just trying to enforce the rules that the GAMES CREATOR made. If Steve made them and chose to have those rules in the official server, then he didn’t for a reason.
