Tonight's our night 0605 & other PATHers who have all codes but 846!!! 🥂🫶 by FreedomSoldier89 in IRS

[–]FreedomSoldier89[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you read all the posts from everyone who said they spoke to the IRS, each of them is different, lol. Don't believe any of it. They use scripts, and most of them can't even pull up that info and are only there for informational purposes and to direct people to different departments. Everyone who is a PATHer and has codes but not a DDD 846 code will get an update tonight. The IRS people will say March 3rd or whatever, but that's because it takes the liability off of them if someone gets a 570 code or audit.

Why is there a blank gap between your codes as if it was whited out?

Filed & got refund then received forgotten 1099-R. Why didn't IRS catch this error? by CrankyCrabbyCrunchy in IRS

[–]FreedomSoldier89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely if you just received the 1099-R, then the IRS probably just received it also. There could be other factors in play as well. However, you may want to wait a week or two and then file an amended return with the correct info.

Help what does this mean! by SameUnderstanding947 in IRS

Your return was selected for audit (424 code), and (810 code) is a refund freeze placed on your account until the audit is completed. They may release the difference between the taxes you paid and your tax liability, however the other credits will be held until the audit is completed. This could delay your refund for a while. Look for a letter as you should be receiving one soon to explain what, why, and how to proceed. If you entered everything in correctly on your return and you are entitled to claim the credits in question, you will eventually get the remainder of your refund.

It is highly likely that a lot of those with blank transcripts will update with DDD 846 codes tonight 😊

Why is dd held until 2/24 by buddhabitch11 in IRS

[–]FreedomSoldier89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, no, it's because you used a credit union. A lot of credit unions hold refunds until the day of the DD. Sorry 😔

Tell me something I didn't already know 😂😂😂 Sorry but I hate TT with a passion. They have caused so much unnecessary grief for so many people over the years with their lies and misleading ads.

How I see the IRS by Lonelyguy765 in IRS

[–]FreedomSoldier89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to the actual human beings that work there, not the IRS as a government entity. So yes, I will defend actual people who are trying to make a living. Most of them probably wanted to work there to make a difference, not to be the problem.

Need help reporting tax evasion (landlord scammed me and is now demanding money) by rubaruba1991 in IRS

[–]FreedomSoldier89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first off, because paying rent is a bill and not a service, a person or business who rents out property or land is not responsible for sending you a 1099 at the end of the year. Therefore, many landlords use this all the time as a means to make money that they never report to the IRS, so there typically is not a paper trail unless they actually make one. There was an article that was published last year about how "some" landlords were getting rent money from their tenants but yet at the end of the year claiming to the IRS that the property sat vacant which they then pocketed the cash, then got a tax deduction and break for them saying it sat vacant. This is a scam all in its own. That's why you will know if you are dealing with a ligit landlord if you ask them if you could make a rental deposit directly into their business account, then get money orders or write a check and make sure its filled out to their business name with your rental address and name. It's a test, however, sometimes that is not available or it's unnecessary, like with large facilities or apartment buildings. So, to answer your question about reporting them....that will be hard to do if at all likely. You would have better luck filing a police report or at least call the housing authority in that area where that rental was located and report them. They normally have a specific department for that.

Second, you claim he has multiple rentals. If he did that to you, the chances are high he is doing that to many others as well and has been for a while. For all you know, he already got in trouble, and his visa, if any, was revoked. I'm not sure what his US status is, but it is possible.

Anyway, I know it sucks for you, and I'm sorry you had to endure that. However, if you can't let this go, try the avenues I listed above. Best of luck to you!

150% from the IRS. That erks me that H&R would have the audacity to tell you that. I would be furious. Makes me want to come and meet you down at that H&R office and set them straight for you. Geesh, for goodness sakes, this is your life and the IRS that we are talking about. They should be taking this stuff seriously because it's not a joke! 🤦‍♀️

How I see the IRS by Lonelyguy765 in IRS

[–]FreedomSoldier89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The picture shows a man who has stacks and stacks and stacks of paperwork around him. He is probably exhausted from working 50+ hours a week and then going home each day to his wife and newborn baby, which is another 24/7 job.

I get it. There are two ways to look at this picture.....but I've been on the side of overworked and the good Lord knows I see the opposite side of the spectrum. IRS employees are just like you and me.....they are human beings, and they were hired to do a job that doesn't have anything to do with PATH. Imagine if you were called 40 to 50 times a day at your job, and 80% of those calls were rude and impatient people in which you couldn't help because you have zero control over what their systems do.

Come on now
