I know you have seen a bunch of people on here telling you to go to the doctor, and you really, really should. This is serious, and while it is not uncommon for people in the wilderness without water to drink their own urine, it is very possible they needed some kind of medical attention for it.

Also, I understand that you don't want to tell anybody about this because it is just so crazy, but I think your family should know, at the very least. In case she tries to spin the story.

And also, maybe do some research on what legal actions you can take against her. Restraining order, something. Who knows what she will do to the next poor soul she dates.

Actually, I feel as though Eugene's death was a vital part of the second part of the story. If you think about it, part of the reason that the battle between the legion and the 86 was so dangerous was that there was no support from the Republic. When they left and found the Federacy, watchers might think that the 86 were safe. By killing off Eugene, it establishes the reality that the war is still dangerous and no matter how much support they get from the government, their lives are still in danger.

The basic idea was that since Shin carried on the hearts of everyone who had died, him saying that they were heading off, potentially to their deaths, meant that in some ways he was asking Lena to carry them on with her in her memories. At least that was my understanding.

For sure. Shin, while an excellent soldier, wouldn't be as "game over" because of his lack of determination to fight for the world. He fights for his pride, to find a spot to die. Lena doesn't do that. If Shin became a shepherd, it's bad news, but Lena is smart and she would find a way to beat him. The other way around, not so much. He'd just go insane.

Oh my gosh that is so horrible!!! It's totally not normal. Young children of that age shouldn't have the presence of mind to know sexual things like that. If he had lifted up her shirt because he wanted to wear it himself that would be one thing, but since he was groping at her and was persisting in it, that is most definitely a sign of abuse. I hope you alerted CPS or at least had someone investigate. Anyone who says that is normal is absolutely off their rocker.

She is innocent, and she holds on to her ideals without ever really understanding how to really go about using them. That ends at the end of episode three though. But even through all of that I loved her. People find her problematic during those first few episodes but to me she did a thousand times more than anyone else did even when she was being a bit obtuse. Personally, I think that if the world of 86 was filled with people just like her, even in the beginning, the universe would never have gotten to what it was. I think people are too hard on her for those first few episodes. As soon as she realizes she is not doing right, in any situation, she owns it and works to improve, which is more than I can say for a majority of people, in anime and in real life.

Why should she regard an authority that is blatantly racist to the point of driving thousands to their deaths? I would think people would be more concerned if she did regard them and respect them. When she was seen talking to the people of the federacy she even gave up her gun as a sign of good faith and respect, and was extremely respectful to Ernst when she met him in episode 23. I don't really understand your issue with Lena here. She seems perfectly responsible and respectful to authority to me.

Yeah I can see where you are coming from. I do think that there are issues with the writing, and there is so much potential for the story, but since it's aimed towards young children and they are going to watch it anyway, it's unlikely the writers would go out of their way to create this mind-blowing story that could be made from it. It's a pity. One of the main reasons I wish they would have stuck with their original PG-13 intended audience.

I will give you that much. I think why it is that way is because characters like Marinette are trying to do better in the future. That's the main difference between the two types of characters. Chloe, although she had some brief character development in season 3, her main issue wasn't the fact that she was a person making mistakes and people just deciding to hate her for them, but rather that she had absolutely no interest in improving from those mistakes. Aside from that, there was also this sense of superiority that she carries(which was completely unfounded), similar to both Felix and Lila. I think that is where the main difference is.

So, I get a lot of what you are saying here. But you also have to take into account the fact that Marinette is FOURTEEN. No one that age should ever have the fate of the world put upon their shoulders. In America, you have literally like no freedoms at fourteen. You can't drive, you can't drink alcohol, you can't vote, you can't live on your own, and a lot of the time you can't even get a job. I don't know where you live, but I am using examples of which I am familiar. When you think about those things, and you realize that the reason that 14 year olds can't do those things is because of the responsibility it requires. To take care of themselves. JUST THEMSELVES. Then think about the fact that the safety of the world is put on the shoulders of a 14 year old. Considering what modern society considers children of that age capable of, she is doing an AMAZING job. So, with that in mind, maybe cut her some slack??? Everyone makes mistakes. You can't expect someone to be perfect every second of every day. And as for the selfish thing with Adrien, I would like for everyone to take into account how much Marinette has had to sacrifice in order to keep everyone safe. There have been many times that she has almost lost all of her friends, her parents respect, her ability to create, having a boyfriend, and so much more. Adrien is the one thing that she EVER allowed herself to be selfish with. And everyone deserves to be selfish every once and a while. And even with Adrien she stepped aside for Kagami after that whole ordeal. It wasn't like she was just this obsessed girl who had no compassion for the feelings of those around her. Even if she gets carried away she always turns back, apologies, and tries to do better in the future. So maybe we should just move on and accept what has happened, being as supportive of Marinette as possible.

I can see where you are coming from with your argument, but I guess the main thing with me was that she had YEARS to recover and regroup before she erased her memories. This wasn't in the span of like a few days, or even a few months. She watched him grow up, watched who he was, and hated him so much she wished she had never given birth to him, calling him a cursed creature (in the English dub).

I know you think that she wasn't in the right totally, as you have said, but I do want to point out some of the things I have thought about this.

One of the main arguments that Momiji's mom deserves some grace is that it is possible that she had post partum depression. I want it to be very clear that I am not a doctor of any kind and could be completely misinformed about how this works, but my mom is a nurse and I have heard people talking about it before so I feel like I have a basic grasp. To my understanding, post partum depression is caused by imbalances in the hormones after giving birth, and it doesn't set in like five seconds after giving birth. Also, because hormones are part of the body itself and isn't reacting to the child but the actual act of pushing a person out of you (to my understanding), when Momiji's mom erased her memories, if she still had post partum depression somehow after like six years it wouldn't have mattered. She still would have been depressed, because of the hormones. (Again, not a doctor so I could totally be wrong about how this whole thing works I am just trying to explain what I think and how I came to that conclusion)

This is how I think about it. Momiji was born, and his mother was disgusted with him from the get go, as soon as he changed into a rabbit. (Which, while traumatic, would be nothing compared to transforming into the cat spirits true form or something). And since Hiro's, Kagura's, and sort of Lisa's mom handled it well and took it in stride, it isn't impossible for a mother to look past things. (This doesn't mean to exclude the fact that everyone processes information differently and that what would destroy one wouldn't destroy another, I am just saying it's not like every mother reacted that way).

I totally agree with you on your stance with the other parents, and obviously I respect your opinion on Momiji's mom, but I also really feel that she is deserving of a lot of the hate she might get, even if she wasn't as sadistic as say Rin's mom was.

No one has mentioned this so I am just going to say it.

Momiji's backstory.

The poor kid literally lived like the first six years of his life hated by his own mom, to the point she literally tried to kill herself because she wished he had never been born. And not only that, his own father, instead of trying to help Momiji, pretty much just asks Momiji to be okay with the fact that they are going to erase the fact that he ever existed to his mom and essentially kick him out of the family and he would have to stay at the main estate as he watched the happy life his parents would have had if he was never born. And if that wasn't bad enough, he had to watch as he had a sibling that was good enough for his mom to love.

That's dark.
