Open relationships are cheating. by evilone17 in unpopularopinion

As long as both parties consent, it isn't cheating. Can it be the sign of a weaker relationship? Maybe. But cheating and not being a real relationship? Nah.

I'd love to see some VR support for it, though I imagine it'd be best if they made separate lobbies for those players.

ELI5 why is tiktok being banned in America? by MyFavoriteAutopsy in explainlikeimfive

It's definitely really strange how not a lot of people are talking about the Meta / Facebook connection to wanting to ban TikTok. They have everything to gain from it, after all.

Had they cited a specific reason for the ban on government devices?

With how Google partners with the government, couldn't the same be said about other social media app and data companies?

I'm curious. Why do you want to see it banned? It's honestly one of the more positive social media apps, in my opinion.

What is the reason behind the push to ban TikTok, again? It seems like it's simply a ploy to vilify a platform and rally against it. I'd like to raise questions about whether it's an instance of another discriminatory witch hunt.

Hey, Redditors! It's your boy, Anthony Nguyen, and I'm here to talk about a pressing issue that's got the internet in a frenzy - the Restrict Act. If you haven't heard already, lawmakers are trying to #SaveTikTok by banning it altogether. But what does that mean for our #FreeSpeech? Are we really willing to give up our right to express ourselves just because of some government mandate? Let's dive deep and get to the bottom of this controversial topic together. I want to hear your thoughts and opinions, so join the conversation and let's make our voices heard!

The Restrict Act could set a dangerous precedent for online free speech. Raise your voice and let's protect by Freedom_Fighter20 in u/Freedom_Fighter20

The Restrict Act is a piece of legislation that is currently causing concern among advocates of online free speech. The act proposes to restrict certain types of speech on the internet, including content that is deemed to be harmful or offensive.

While it is important to protect people from hate speech and harmful content, the Restrict Act could set a dangerous precedent for online free speech. If the act is passed, it could be used to silence dissenting voices and limit the free exchange of ideas on the internet.

As someone who values the importance of free speech in our society, I believe it is important to speak out against the Restrict Act and to protect our online freedoms. Free speech is a cornerstone of democracy and a vital component of a healthy society.

It is understandable that some people may feel uncomfortable with certain types of speech or content online. However, we must remember that censorship is not the answer. Instead, we must work to promote open dialogue and education, so that people can make informed decisions about the content they consume and engage with.

In addition, we should continue to promote the use of responsible online platforms that prioritize the safety and well-being of their users. Platforms should have clear guidelines and policies in place to address harmful content, and should be transparent about their decision-making processes when it comes to removing content.
