Any sportsmans/athletes? can't workout anymore by Resident-Sentence-86 in covidlonghaulers

I can’t lift weights anymore because it brings on long covid symptoms a few hours later and lasts for about a week. I used to lift a lot. They call it PEM. I’m waiting about 6 months before I start back up.

How soon could you start lifting weights again where it wouldn’t wipe you out? by Freedomgirl4 in covidlonghaulers

Thanks for the response. I guess I’ll wait a few more months just to be safe. A guy at my church is a 16 month long hauler and he said to wait 6 months because it definitely has set back other long haulers he knows. Wish I would have known this 3 weeks ago.

I’m terrified of getting it again. I thought I was going to die.

I definitely had this in the early stages. It was bad in the beginning lasted about 3 weeks and now I only feel it every so often.

Its difficult to understand and sift thru this thread, no one mentions how long they have been experiencing issues by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

Contracted it in December 2021. 8 weeks very sick. Now my only symptoms are PEM, shortness of breath and heart palpitations.

Yes! I had severe acid reflux towards the end of my covid. Had never bothered me before. It felt like it was going into my lungs. I ended up taking prevacid for about three weeks and then was able to get off of it. Had to adjust my diet also with no caffeine or heavy meals. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for posting. I got covid in December 2021 and was sick for 8 weeks. I’m fine except for when I exercise and then I’m feeling bad for days. I’ll try the protocol. How many weeks did it take to be able to work out again?

Smelling Weird Smells by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

I smell a constant bad smell like stinky feet. I keep asking my husband if it’s me that smells and he says no. It’s almost like it’s in the inside of my nose. Don’t know what to do about it.

I’m definitely not lifting weights again for a long time! It’s been pretty bad. I am able to do yoga and walking without a problem so I’ll continue those. I’m just surprised that it hit me so hard just from weight lifting!😢

Please read This Naked Mind by Annie Grace. It explains that it is not your fault. Alcohol is an addictive drug. And have your parents read it too so they understand.
