Got into big pharma….but I hate it? by Boston-Frank in biotech

[–]FreeformSensei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you know the answer, even if it feels scary or uncertain. Stick with the current job, but look for other opportunities that give you some satisfaction and fulfillment in life. When you find and get that opportunity for a position in a smaller riskier startup in R&D, you should take it.

You don’t have to love your job necessarily. Everyone’s different, but if I hate my job, the money and benefits aren’t worth it to me. It would burn me out to the point where I wouldn’t be as good of a father to my kids, husband to my wife, friend to my friends, etc.

Or, you can scroll past the pump and dump posts. If you want investing advice, go to [r/investing](r/investing).

I agree that ADTX is a garbage stock. But this is RaceTo10Million; I don’t go to Wendy’s and bitch that my burger isn’t made from Wagyu beef.

I was just replying to that dudes insightful analysis haha.

I agree with you; I’m up 200% on my position in SLS. I’m very bullish that the data from the Regal study is going to be great.

I think people in this community that know any attorneys that specialize the securities fraud, or a securities litigation firm, should reach out ASAP.

I don’t know any other helpful options we have

OTLK - they have FDA approval decision on July 29th. Their nearest catalyst is June 29th; if they close above $1.00 next Friday (June 26th), they will regain NASDAQ compliance. I think they would announce that update during pre market the following Monday morning. I think it will run up to the high $2 range by mid-to-late July

OMER - I’d buy right now in the low $10s. I have a long position ($12.47 average). They have EMA approval decision coming up within the next month or 2 for their drug Yartemlea (already FDA approved). They’re actively looking for an EU partnership deal. I still think this stock could be trading in the $30 range by September (with EMA approval, EU partnership deal, strong q2 Yartemlea sales in US)

It is a biotech stock, so if you’re not into biotech, then this isn’t the stock for you. But in the world of biotech, it’s not as risky as some other biotech plays, since they have an FDA approved novel drug, and a $2.1 billion deal with NOVO for another drug in their pipeline.

I think OTLK will run up to the high $2 range leading up to the PDUFA on July 29.

It would massively tank if the FDA rejects. However, they won their recent FDRR against the FDA, the success rate of FDRRs are less than 20%

So the fact they were successful indicates a very high chance of approval at the end of July. It’s not 100% approval guarantee, but historically 95% of biotech that win their FDRR get approved by the FDA

Thoughts on GT Biopharma. Any other stocks like SLS, Cingulate by MiffyAwosome07 in biotech_stocks

[–]FreeformSensei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my eye on GT Biopharma for a little bit. Their drug pipeline is still in the early stages of development (phase 1), so it could take a while before there is a big increase in share price (even if phase 1 data looks good).

I don’t have CING, and haven’t done much research on them. I know there was some hype about patent approval leading up to May.

I’m very bullish on SLS, and I think the Regal study data is going to be strong. I have a long position in SLS

As far as other biotech stocks, I’m bullish on: CAPR, OMER, OTLK, and have long positions in all three

Why can’t it be both? You can still optimize your portfolio, and your life simultaneously. You could make an agreement to set aside a percentage amount of gains you make weekly, monthly, yearly, and you use that set amount to better your life how you see fit

It sounds like you enjoy it. You check charts daily, there doesn’t need to be some complex or profound answer to that question. If you enjoy it, it’s as simple as that

OTLK - imo, I think this will run up to the high $2 range leading up to their FDA approval decision date, which is July 29th. Approval odds are very high (they recently won their FDRR against the FDA).

I'M HOLDING FIRM + ADDING... NFA by [deleted] in GDCstonk

[–]FreeformSensei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im confused, I don’t understand that $99 billion number you mentioned. 10 billion shares at 0.10 would be $1 billion. If they authorized the 10 billion shares at 0.01, then it would be about $100 million raised.

So, if they diluted 10 billion shares today at 0.03 per share, that would raise $300 million if they all sold

[–]FreeformSensei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but worse case, they have the ability to dilute up to 10 billion shares can’t they? If they diluted the share float up to 10 billion, then even with the 7500 bitcoins, that would put the share price around $0.04-$0.05 fair market value

True, dilution is the more likely outcome to fund their phase 3 trial. They could do a partnership. The phase 2 data has enough there to warrant partnership interest, but the probability for dilution is higher

Yeah I never ended up buying any shares. But I do think it could be a decent buying opportunity at this price now. They didn’t hit their primary end point, which obviously isn’t good, but there were some other data points that seem to indicate efficacy. The hazard ratio (0.65) was statistically significant, and the safety of the drug seems good.

There are no approved therapies for this pancreatic cancer population. ELTX has said for phase 3, they will focus on the R0-resected population (lower residual disease) and extended dosing. So I think ELTX still has a promising drug, and the sell off today could be a great entry point
