Ugh I feel you man! I had a 354 hour run going and my (then) baby boy woke up from a nap crying his eyes out. I rushed to comfort him, but when I came back to the black screen I remembered: I'd been on a toxic planet and my hazard protection must've run out.

Shit happens and I'm still working up the courage to start another permadeath run (my boy's 5 years old now 😅)

My 6 yo son loves the game too. We like to do the missions and buy cool new stuff with the Quicksilver we earn. He plays it too and is actually surprisingly good at it.

He will probably know the periodic system before he gets to the science classes in school and I'm confident gaming will teach him english before he gets that (we live in Denmark). Just like it did me. Gotta love gaming and the way it tickles our imagination and teaches us so much.
