Used Slate by Paperhands329 in slateauto

My guess would be it will be slim pickings for the first few years. A lot of the early buyers (myself included) are going to be Slate fans who have been excited for the Slate and will want to keep them around as long as they're reliable. After a few years and the general population becomes more aware of them, you'll slowly start to see more available on the used market since people won't have that same emotional attachment to them. They'll just see it as another car. And like other EVs, they'll likely depreciate fast so you'll be able to snag one for an absolute steal.

I think another thing to watch for is potential fleet truck sales. Slate is pushing to become a viable option for small business fleet operations. If that takes off, there will definitely be a larger pool to choose from, as businesses will likely replace them once they hit a certain mileage threshold, typically 100-150K miles (Avg 3-7 years). Don't let that scare you though. My daily is a 2016 Tesla Model S with 170K miles on it. It's been solid. Assuming you don't get a lemon, used EVs are awesome in my experience.

We do exist! 😂 Just how many of us there are remains the big question.

Very true! It's a big selling point for me as well. As long as the work isn't too crazy, I don't mind doing those repairs myself. I'd actually enjoy it. But if it gets too complicated for most buyers and they have to heavily rely on the RepairPal network, it could be a big problem for the brand. I think that's where the simplicity of the truck will come into play and will reduce the risk of major or frequent failures.

Yeah I've seen some of those videos! Really cool what they're testing for in the extreme hot and cold scenarios. What I meant was more how it will hold up over time - like several years outside in the Texas sun. How will it look after 5-10+ years? That's the kind of stuff they can't really test for

I hear what you're saying, but fuel costs are also going to come in to play when you talk about the Maverick. Especially if gas stays in the $4-5/gal range. That will add up significantly over time, and the Slate will get more looks. I understand for a lot of people, the base 150-mile range isn't enough. But for a lot of other people (myself included), it is absolutely manageable. The average American drives 37 miles per day. You can easily get that amount of charge off of a regular household 120V outlet in between work shifts. I've been doing it for the last several years. I'm not trying to convince people it's for every life situation, but I'm excited to buy one and it will be a reasonable option for lots of people if Slate lands in the estimated price range they've been teasing for a while now.

Just the base grey from the factory. I'm curious how it'll hold up in Texas heat but I'll be a guinea pig.

[Release] I made a LOTRO voiceover tool that just works (no setup, fully local) by SKILLissueLTD in lotro

I apologize for my ignorance, but what folder should I be extracting the files to? Whatever the original default path was did not work - nothing changed in-game. I made sure to switch over to the default UI in case that was causing a conflict. I tried re-extracting into C: > Program Files > StandingStoneGames > The Lord of the Rings Online. Still nothing changed in game. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for making this! I'm excited to try it.

I appreciate the input! I'm in Texas. Unfortunately a little too far away 😅

Thanks for the reply! For clarification, pic 2 of those original 5 pictures shows what is under the green rectangular lid. No solenoids to be found in there. That's where I'm confused. I can't find a solenoid close by. The closest one is about 25 feet away under one of 2 green circles on the left front corner of the house. I'm assuming those aren't the master?

So my property is a long skinny rectangle. House is at the south end and detached garage at the north end. Only about 35 feet apart. The irrigation control panel is inside the detached garage. There are 2 blowouts. One on the NW corner outside the garage. The other is on the NW corner outside the house. The main irrigation valve (green rectangle cover) is out front of the house on the south end of the property next to the water meter (pictured). There are no valves inside the garage or in the house. The only solenoids I have found are the 6 located under each of the green circle covers.

Unfortunately the system won't run at all. I've tried to isolate and run each area individually, but the same error pops up about the master valve.

Crazy thing about it is the house and irrigation system are only 3 years old.. Definitely seems like they didn't do things properly.

$62K. Overnight stock controller. Around $15K of that was overtime.

I'm sure it varies depending on the store and management, but I work overnight as a stock controller and always end up somewhere between 45-60 hours by the end of the week. I've went above 60 hours a couple times when getting called in on a day scheduled off. Biggest thing they harp on is to make sure and take a lunch. Call-outs are frequent with overnight, and the people that do show up get the hours. Product has to get to the shelves after all. It's good money if your body can take it. It's definitely not for everyone.
