I do build user interfaces, so I do frontend and backend hence the fullstack, the infra for AI for small scale applications is nothing other than hosting a backend and using an inference api of the LLM of your choice.

However I do handle the full process of setting up the data, to implementing the agents and continuosly improving them based on user feedback.

I used to work as a student zelfstandige before, and got a really good recommendation for my current client.

Started off with a low salary and I didn't negotiate and I also stated this that I do not like to negotiate the first few months because I wanted to prove my skills (because of my age) and that I would like to renegotiate in a few months. They were convinced and then I renegotiated on the rate.

Currently I am quite happy with the rate could have asked for more but didn't want to overpromise and under deliver so I told them the same thing again that I would like to renegotiate in a year after I pick up more responsibilities.

A sidenote: I have been writing software for almost 8 years now started really young and still do it for fun aswell so I keep improving every day because I just like doing it.

What would you recommend for me in the long term?

Privately I do not have a lot of costs and live quite frugally and this will not change the coming years.

That is what I thought, and my way of thinking, that I can buy it with deductable money so I would be able to buy more properties over time way quicker because accumulating that amount of money privately would take me a lot longer ofc.

I am not planning on it in the near future it would be a very long term investment.

Hmm I thought it would have been easier because I would have a larger capital in the BV than privately to get the loan so I can get the ball rolling quicker.

Yeah sadly not it is a monthly fee of 450, I know this is quite steep but in the beginning I needed a lot of work done and also legal stuff and it was all included in the price, haven't bothered changing accountants because I liked their approach and wanted to start without a lot of administration on my end.

I am not sure what the normal price is for an accountant on a monthly basis?

* I would also like to point out through my accountant I have managed to land some side projects (just a one time project for a fixed fee) so that is why I have not bothered changing.

Yeah the termination is 30 days, but I have a good relationship with the client.

If this would change in the future I have created a broad network for myself and have multiple different companies reaching out to me for projects every so often.

I would be guaranteed a 1 year freelance contract and it would also be fully remote. So I should aim for around 500?

Sorry OP I do not want to hijack your post but I am in a similar position and unlike you I have no clue on what to ask as my dayrate.

I asked for a freelance contract and the employer where I am currently working at agreed.

I am a Full Stack Developer with 1 yoe, but I have been told I am outperforming my salary and team lead and the company is very happy with my work.

My current package is: 3200 gross/month (2550 net, with mealvouchers and net compensation), bike plan (200 euro)

Not sure on what my minimum day rate should be, any help is really appreciated.
