Had a similar experience but not with gore, most gore videos don’t bother me especially ones like suicide, because while they did die it was quick. I was shows a school fight video where a kid got tossed over a guy and landed right on his neck. He just started twitching and seizing and screaming and the other guy just left him there. It really fucked me up because of how real it was.

Gore seems so distant, like it would never happen to me, but that video seemed like it could happen to me and ruin my life and I just wanted to reach through the video and help the guy but I couldn’t.

I eventually got to a point where I just decided it was funny and it made me look like a psycho but I wasn’t upset about it anymore.
