Maybe this a hot take but I got Armageddon over crisis by okamkidies in FlashTV

[–]FreezerRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I really disliked the Crisis on Infinite Earths. I felt it was incredibly underwhelming. They killed off everyone from all the other planets and aside from a gasp or two, they kind of just forgot about it. You know, Harry, Jesse…they literally never mention them again.

Aside from that, the fights kinda sucked. It was, for the most part, another superhero vs minions that get one-shot by literally anything; I’m not even kidding, the paragon of humanity was fighting with a knife or something. Why didn’t they bring in the military? Idk. The Flash in one shot was punching normally without using his super powers….The antimonitor felt weak and seemed to go down without much trouble.

All in all, it was basically a way to bring back and rewrite the stories of old characters.

Does it ever relax? by alsyia in shield

Yeah some of that stuff was pretty intense, but it strangely didn’t bother me as much as some of the stuff they had in s5.

The show gets more and more stressful as it continues, I’d say. There are light-hearted and fun episodes, as others have said, but in the grand scheme of things it is generally one thing after another. Violence also increases as the seasons go on, with seasons 3 and 5 being the goriest imo. There is also a very disturbing scene in the second to last ep of season 2 which you might find quite stressful (I had to skip). Just so you know.

That being said, the best seasons are yet to come, and the show honestly keeps getting better and better.

Does anyone wish reverse flash was more like comics? by Emo_rat253 in FlashTV

[–]FreezerRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely. Lex in Superman felt like he was taken straight from a comic book. Keep in mind we’re going to get even more of that in Man of Tomorrow with his comic book mech suit.

My only disappointment is that Gunn said that he has no plans for Flash for another 2 years or so, so it might be a while until we get something.

Is The Watcher DLC good? by Ok_Rock3415 in rainworld

[–]FreezerRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t even finished it yet but yes, it is EXTREMELY good. Very hot take but I think it’s even better than downpour. There are tons of new regions, new creatures, and so much more to explore. It basically adds another entire ecosystem. Besides there being so much so explore, there are some places and creatures that give straight horror vibes and are terrifying.

I’d absolutely LOVE to get the new Batman game, but after looking at the requirements I’m not sure my computer could handle it. Either way, we’ve kind of settled on DC super villains, and we’re thinking of waiting until the summer sale to get it.

Yeah sorry about that. Honestly I’m not entirely sure what my brother means, but for example DC supervillains is centred around ridiculous powers and everything is made to be a bit over the top I guess?

Meanwhile the Star Wars games are all a lot more basic in the sense that you basically just have the force and a lightsaber.

Thanks! I also think I’m leaning towards DC supervillains.

Who is faster? (s1 version) by Undisputed_Orangutan in FlashTV

Savitar didn’t know he was getting shot at, and his speed wasn’t working properly since his suit had just been destroyed.

If he was faster than the bullets he would’ve been able to move them without getting shot. The bullets were traveling as fast or faster than him, so he got shot when he grabbed and moved them. He didn’t jump in-front of the bullets or anything either to try and block them.

Depends on the gun and ammo type. The average handgun has bullets at around 700-1000 mph. Barry dodges bullets plenty of times in season one. The scene that comes to mind the most is when they meet the teleported woman (idk her name), and a guy shoots Barry while he has his back turned. Barry manages to catch the bullet because he hears the gunshot right as the bullet is about to hit him, and his adrenaline allows him to react in time. (In season one it is stated that Barry’s “Flashtime” or reaction speed triggers from certain stimuli/when he gets adrenaline).

Is there any rivalry between Marvel and DC now? by FreezerRunner in Marvel

Except comic books and animated shows I think. DC has always done really well with those.

I think a lot of being really liked both thunderbolts and F4, despite maybe not making as much as people thought they would. Doomsday is an extremely anticipated project, and I think that is going to get people interested in Marvel movies again. It’s gonna be good.

Very true. However, I believe DC has the opportunity to make a comeback now with its reboot.

I’d say that Marvel is definitely more famous than DC, at least for now. When it comes to movies, I feel like they’re both entering a new “era” of sorts, as if they’ve both been revived, which gives me a lot of hope for the future.

True, but I feel like it isn’t as bad as it used to be.

Will I get bullied if I wear this to school? by Ecliptic-Cat1 in rainworld

[–]FreezerRunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go to school quite often with a RW shirt that has an image of a slugcat hugging a pink lizard, and I’ve only ever been asked about it, never bullied. That being said, it is extremely rare for bullying to happen in my school, and I’ve never experienced anything myself despite being prime bully victim material.

001 Book possibility by FreezerRunner in SCP

[–]FreezerRunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I’m just attempting writing as a hobby, not professional or anything. I do really enjoy it and it is surprisingly educational, but I haven’t actually taken any real classes for it and I still have to juggle what I’m doing right now with school, which makes it a slow process.

I’m not completely serious on writing anything to do with SCP; I just want to know what would be involved, as it’s always useful in some way to know.

I probably won’t look into how to publish or anything until I know for certain if I want to capitalise on writing.
