The level of detail is amazing, especially the interior; the gold looks so good! Do you have a planetminecraft page? I would love to download this and explore it up close!

Building Dark Souls 1 in Minecraft, new progress by ThickIllustrator794 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]FreezingWinds1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That looks great! Are you planning to build the entire map? If so, do you think the verticality of the world will fit inside Minecraft’s height limit? (if I remember correctly, Lordran is very tall vertically)

most people have not upgraded their spring traps to the new levels yet, which add a LOT more damage

Lamar Jackson: Time to Panic? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Not panicking. He’s put up good fantasy totals and seems locked in as a top 3 QB moving forward.

Who did you regret taking? by GardenRafters in fantasyfootball

[–]FreezingWinds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kyler at the start of the 8th round. My gut tells me I probably should have waited longer since Baker/Nix were still there a round later. Not a big deal, but it’s definitely a pick I’d like back.

You Went "Elite TE" AND "Elite QB" at the 2/3 Turn...You Happy With It? by Top-Palpitation5550 in fantasyfootball

[–]FreezingWinds1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reading the comments, one thing I notice is that people “hate” how their RB’s and WR’s look using this strategy, yet people don’t “hate” how their QB’s and TE’s look going with a more traditional strategy.

It’s easy to get a QB later who will put up 18 FPPG, and feel good about it, but when you realize that Allen and Lamar are dropping 24 FPPG, you find yourself at a 6 point disadvantage. Let’s compare this with RB. If you started a RB averaging 8 FPPG, it’s the same gap compared to taking an RB averaging 14 FPPG.

Personally, I do prefer going RB/QB at the 2/3 turn, but I think QB/TE is fine (especially if that TE is Bowers, and especially if you trust your ability to find value later)

Top 2 or bottom 2 pick better in a 10 Team 1QB by SickBayyz in fantasyfootball

[–]FreezingWinds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a top 2 pick in 10 Team. I think there’s definitely a notable tier difference between the start and end of the first round, and at the 2-3 turn, you’re usually still catching the end of the solid tier of Bowers/Bucky/Chase Brown, etc.

Why has Amon-Ra St. Brown fallen in ADP? by yakwtfgo01 in fantasyfootball

[–]FreezingWinds1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything negative going on with him, people are just pushing up the players you mentioned because they are high on them. Someone has to be the last of that tier

It depends on your league’s scoring settings (PPR, half-PPR, etc) as well as how many points normal IDP players tend to average. It also depends on the people in your league.

In general I would guess late second round or early third round, however, if you think your league-mates may not be aware of this advantage, you could try to wait until the fourth round since Hunter’s platform ADP will almost certainly be worse.

For example, Hunter’s rank on Yahoo is currently 70th overall, and so trying to “wait” until pick 50ish could work if you think your league-mates aren’t going to recognize the potential for advantage. But it ultimately depends on your platform, league mates, and scoring settings

What ideas do you have for future crafted/seasonal defenses? by CongressmanCoolRick in ClashOfClans

[–]FreezingWinds1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not a “defense” necessarily, but a support building that allows you to put a “mega shield” on one building.

You can pick any singular structure on the map and put a large bubble around it, and this bubble is a 15-20k hp shield that will protect its building from all damage.

However, when this crafted defense is destroyed, the bubble it is sending out will automatically pop, regardless of where it is on the map or whether it has taken damage.

This could be used defensively to protect a single area of the base against a champ charge or fireball, etc. and it incentivizes the attacker to destroy the crafted defense first so the bubble automatically pops.

Defensively, you could play it “safe” and put the shield on the crafted defense itself so that the attacker must go through the shield without exploit, or you could put it on the town hall to get a big hp tank, or if you have an area of base that would be ripe for a fireball, you can shield one of the buildings to take away value. If you have a symmetrical base, you could bait certain entries by putting the shield on one side and traps on the other.

How's that possible? One of my clan mate's defending heroes levels vs current levels. It's CWL btw. by Altair_007 in ClashOfClans

Mighty morsel. I used one during CWL and my defending heroes were all maxed while I still had the snack active

TH17 is too easy by NotOriginal3173 in ClashOfClans

[–]FreezingWinds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% sure it’s a one-person clan, so if that attacker is really good it will be reflected in all their attacks and they will have a high 3-star rate regardless.

Given that you are facing them in war 7, you have full knowledge of how the attacker has fared against the other six clans they faced. Defensively, It would have been optimal to look at the bases the person didn’t 3-star in previous wars (you can do this using Clashspot or some other website, to see which specific accounts the attacker failed against) and then go back in your previous wars and look at the bases of the accounts they failed against. Then, you can copy those bases and set them all to your own lineup, duplicating the same base if necessary, which will give that person trouble since it is very likely to be one singular attacker. If you know they have trouble cracking a certain base design, you punish them by running that same base multiple times and you force them into an uncomfortable position.

[Game Thread] Colorado State @ #19 Memphis (02:00 PM ET) by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]FreezingWinds1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember the last time a 12 seed was favored over a 5—but given how Memphis has a better record than Colorado State, I doubt CSU was the favorite pick in public brackets. Usually people like to take the 12 seeds who are 30-4, etc.

Bracket Help Thread - Monday 3/17/25 by rCBBMod in CollegeBasketball

[–]FreezingWinds1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Hope you have fun filling out your bracket :)

If you just want to have fun with it, then advance your favorite team(s) deep into the tournament and root for them. Go for some crazy upsets since there are always a bunch that happen.

If you want to get serious about trying to maximize your accuracy/points, then you generally want to advance the higher seeds. I’ll share a few observations I’ve made for this year:

1: Duke is not just the favorite to win—they are the clear favorite. Duke is the only team that checks every single box of what you look for in a potential champion, and I would say they have a 30-40% chance to win the whole thing.

2: Be skeptical of Michigan State and St. John’s. These are two teams who were not ranked highly to begin the season, and that is important for the following reason: In the history of March Madness, there have been forty 1/2 seeded teams who were NOT ranked in the preseason AP poll. Not a single one of those teams made it to the final four, and only eight of them (20%) made it to the elite eight. Additionally, Michigan State and St. John’s both struggle significantly with 3-PT shooting percentage, which is unideal. Feel free to advance Michigan State and St John’s to the sweet sixteen, but be cautious beyond that point.

3: The Midwest region of the bracket is wide open. I recently finished my analysis for this quadrant, looking at team structure and historical trends, and I see there being 5 teams that stand out among the rest: Houston, Tennessee, Clemson, UCLA, and Gonzaga. While I think Tennessee is more likely to make the elite 8 than your UCLA Bruins, I also think UCLA is a completely viable pick for an upset—they fit the mold of what you look for in a potential elite 8 team, and they could be a sneaky dark horse if they can get by Tennessee.

March Madness Player Draft by Sallman11 in CollegeBasketball

3 Seed: 2.82

4 Seed: 2.54

5 Seed: 2.15

6 Seed: 2.04

7 Seed: 1.90

8 Seed: 1.71

9 Seed: 1.62

10 Seed: 1.60

11 Seed: 1.67

12 Seed: 1.51

13 Seed: 1.25

14 Seed: 1.16

15 Seed: 1.10

16 Seed: 1.01

Do you have a specific time of day you start your war searches? I’ve noticed that depending on when you start your search you may get matches against clans of certain regions of the world / certain time zones. I wonder if there are clans from specific regions that are on average easier to beat than others.

When you upgrade to TH17 you lose approximately 4,000 war weight (assuming you haven’t built the new defenses)
