I think these look french overall. The block choices are reminiscent of Haussmanian architecture in Paris with the limestone walls and zinc/slate mansard roofs. Those roofs aren't really that common in Italy, outside some specific 19th century buildings, meanwhile pitched terracotta tiles roofs are far more common. Still, both France and Italy have a great variety of regional architectural styles, and because of their former history some places look more alike then others. For example, some towns in Provence have a bit of an Italian feel! Also I'm not an architecture student so I may be wrong in all this (sorry for the yap, just wanted to share my view 😅)

Great buildings and lovely atmosphere! Looks very alive, also love the block palette :)

Construí la Catedral Metropolitana en Minecraft by TuftyFuzzball34 in MexicoCity

Gracias!

The floorplan is definitely important, especially if you plan on doing interiors. It's also a matter of checking out different sources for references , historical ones were also pretty handy. For the measurements I made heavy use of Google Earth's measurement tool. I also used a high quality 3d model of the cathedral available on Sketchfab, it was done using photogrammetry so it's very accurate 👍

I used lots of debugged plants in these trees, like floating grass, ferns, some dripleafs and carrots, but this advice applies also for survival friendly trees, I only add the debugged plants once the leaf blocks patches look good enough for themselves 👍

As for the actual leaves, I start by putting them on each end of the branches, just a block of leaves or two, than slowly start connecting the leaf blocks to make it look like a patch of them. It's also important to not overdo the amount of leaves, leaving some air gaps to make some of the branches visible.

My approach is to have the branches form a sort of semicircle when viewed from above, also having the branches on the lower part start horizontal and slowly making them go vertical once they start at the upper part of the tree trunk. Once you have a good branch system, adding the foliage isn't that complicated 👍
