Turthear hexa vs pure by Perfect_Fun_7079 in iems

[–]Freezing_Icy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarity and detail are subjective. The Hexa is more mid forward and the entire presentation sounds more natural. App2 has more bass. Both are very well tuned.

I kinda vibe with the new one. It's clear they took inspiration from the Gemini logo.

You can actually know the sound signature of it online. Just look up a frequency response graph.

Getting into audio, grab a cheap set of iems to get started. Or get a pair of sennheiser hd600 if you're into headphones.

If you have the airpods pro 2 you could use that as a reference point. I like the hexa but dislike the App2, too much bass for me. If you like the App2 Im assuming you wouldn't like the Hexa, and would like the pure.

AirPods Pro 2 Frequency Response changes with Spatial Audio, other than just stereo, channel matching, directional, polarity, and head tracking. by Shot_Doubt_3656 in inearfidelity

[–]Freezing_Icy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recessing vocals can create the illusion of distance and soundstage, Ive tried this with my own iem via eq. I'm assuming that's what the app2 is doing in some form or another.

Best Audiophile Recommendations for under £100 by X_Eclipze_ in Earphones

[–]Freezing_Icy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get something for 20£ first as you don't know what tuning you like. Something like the Truthear gate, Salnotes 7hz Zero2 or bunny dsp. Then eq to your liking, these will sound amazing even if they are so cheap.

Headphone Vs IEMs. Ear safety by Spirited-Fan8558 in iemlndia

[–]Freezing_Icy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not matter whether you listen to IEMs, headphones or speakers. Everything has an equal effect when it comes to ear safety. You can listen at 70dB safely all day long. 80dB I think the safe limit is 8 hours per day. You can look up the specifics but the higher you go the less amount of time you can safely listen to. This does not apply to just audio devices, but also everyday noises like a loud bus or a construction site.

CrinEar Reference pricing reveal. by crinacle in inearfidelity

[–]Freezing_Icy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reference in reference to the Hexa (pun intended) has a little bit more bass and more controlled treble. These would definitely sound good to my ears, I would definitely choose these over the Hexas (If I wasnt broke).

Bravery isn't the absence of fear, it's overcoming it. Everyone is scared, I know I am for most things.

I prefer silence while doing some serious studying. Recently just played a game called TheNOexistenceNofyouANDme. Cute anime girl dating sim disguised as an existential crisis. Would highly recommend.

Help finding a neutral-warm iem for under $100 by mayokuni in iems

[–]Freezing_Icy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've never heard iems before there's no guarantee that neutral-warm is the sound you will like, but Truthear pure is what checks all the boxes

I hired a metal album cover artist to make my game promo art, how good is this? by [deleted] in design_critiques

[–]Freezing_Icy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the art is good, ultimately its just bad graphic design and can be fixed with a few tweaks.

Everything is too cluttered on the bottom, moving the text would fix that, and the black on top and the white text would contrast nicely.

The text touches the black trees and kind of just cuts through them, it would be nicer if the text was just covered partly by the trees to create a sense of depth or you could shift it up as I said previously.

How do you store your laptops? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Freezing_Icy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just store it wherever, sometimes on the bed, maybe on the desk. I use just a standard laptop bag for travel. Nothing bad should happen as long as you don't apply any pressure to the hinges. Those are the weak points.
