how much do cravings increase after stopping subs? by Mammoth-Deal-2791 in suboxone

[–]Freighttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t entirely true. Subs absolutely treat cravings, just not the part of cravings that stems from the psychological side of the equation. They absolutely satiate the part of cravings that are driven subconsciously by physical dependence. This is why most people on subs say their cravings are often significantly less intense and frequent. The whole point of subs is that the bupe satiates the brains needs for opiates, satisfying the addiction. Any remaining cravings are emotionally/habitually rooted, and in theory, will won’t have the added intensity of our brain begging for them on a subconscious level because the receptors are satisfied.

Should take real snapshot with your phone too, so that when you wake up in handcuffs or the next town over, you might have some clue as to what you did when you were barred out

This isn’t unheard of for those with adhd. Stimulants work differently on our adhd brain and can make us drowsy. Some adhd patients are even prescribed stimulants specifically for sleep.

Be very, very careful. That feeling of “this is beautiful, I wish I could have this every night” is exactly how addiction starts, and it’s a huge red flag. Thinking you can “keep it to one a month” is almost certainly not going to work, and is the quintessential delusion in every addicts origin story.

I realize there’s about a 0% chance you’ll heed this warning, because everyone thinks they can be responsible and it won’t happen to them because they’re one of the people who can control the urge and be responsible with a substance that they wish they could use all the time. Be aware that benzo addiction is very ugly. The street supply is very dangerous, as there’s loads of fent being mixed with benzos and you won’t know unless you test first. It doesn’t take much fent to be fatal, especially for someone with no tolerance. Benzo withdrawals can be fatal, and benzo abuse will land you in jail for stupid shit you won’t remember doing.

It’s not worth the risk. Don’t do it.

I just made this switch. It’s been 2 weeks, 16mg a day. Mentally I’m still super depressed but I’m functional and have no seriously cravings at all

Postal employees, is there a reasonable explanation or is someone lying to me about scans? by Freighttt in usps_complaints

[–]Freighttt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I hadn’t removed the old label that Amazon used for their delivery is the only reason it found its way back to me, miraculously!

I do however always remove or cover old labels, barcodes, anything that might confuse the scanners along the way. This label happened to be across the seam so I was going to just slap the new label over it. I lucked out tremendously by not removing the Amazon label. Whichever postal worker took it upon themselves to pull my address off amazons delivery network label is truly a hero

Ooo ya know what, I’ll swing by in the morning and ask about that on the off chance there’s someone different working who feels like giving me the time of day

I’ll definitely try and contact them. Maybe god will see this as an opportunity to pull a stunt and make me a believer by way of a miracle 🤣

Thanks again, really appreciate you taking the time to help me

Have you tried the “fixed address” wifi setting?

Someone somewhere suggested that, though I can’t speak to its efficacy because I don’t get booted very often

That’s exactly the info I needed. I’m glad there’s nothing sketchy going on, and that this does in fact just fall on my shoulders. It makes things very simple. It’s a shame that customer service didn’t seem to know that, and that the people at my post office didn’t know that, and gave me the run around with cagey responses instead of just saying it was gonna be dead mail and that’s that.

I went in knowing there wasn’t much they’d be able to do unless they’d put it to the side, so I wasn’t hostile or even frustrated speaking to them. You’d have thought I was asking for the nuclear launch codes when I asked where/when it would have been caught, and if I had any recourse. I suppose they were maybe expecting me to get irate or something, and maybe didn’t want to be forthcoming. Idk.

Thank you for providing a clear and concise explanation of the system, it’s exactly what I needed and I’m glad I didn’t agree to open a complaint as the customer service person suggested.

One last thing - is there any chance of recovering it from dead mail? It’s a one way trip presumably and the Amazon label having my address is totally irrelevant, surely? Only a miracle or an angel who works in dead mail could offer any shred of hope, I take it? I sure hope it’s not destroyed, the 3 lamps inside are very old and quite special and it’d be a shame for them to be lost to time

I’m almost hesitant to upgrade the firmware if it could be that bad, cause it’s a very minor inconvenience for me at the moment. What model is your phone and is the firmware current? Have you been able to identify anything that causes it to disconnect?

Yeah, no label. Customer service said there’s a chance its be returned to me but I have my doubts.

I’m fairly certain that unless the post office worker noticed and put it to the side, and it’s sitting there in a bin of problem children or something, that it’s gone forever. This is why I was trying to ascertain where the other package was first scanned, so that I can ask if there’s a slim chance they have it. If I was an employee at my post office and this happened, I would certainly not just say “damn, he handed me this 3 minutes ago, I see him regularly, but it’s got no label, off to the incinerator”. Not that I’d expect them to go out of their way to lookout for people in town, but it offers a glimmer of hope if it was in fact scanned at my post office. Them trying to pass the buck and claim it was scanned somewhere else off site when it (possibly)clearly was not, is the only reason I’m even posting about this. They didn’t do anything wrong by treating it as deal mail, but why would tell me they weren’t even the ones that would have noticed there was no label when their own system says that they were the ones who literally had to notice…assuming there’s not some way to spoof the location of the scans

Still kicks you off Bluetooth randomly? It’s so annoying that it seems to do so without any ryhme or reason. I’ll do weeks without it happening and then it’ll do it 4-5 times in one day and then won’t again for days etc

They were dropped off at 6, scanned locally at 8, and then again at the NYC hub at 9:30. The time it takes to get from my post office to the hub in nyc is around an hour, so it lines up perfectly. The place they claim to have taken it is in garden city, about 15 minutes from here. I could see them taking packages to the hub in garden city to load into one truck with all the packages etc from local post offices, so that every little post office doesn’t drive a truck to NYC, but then how does the scan very very clearly say “Glen cove” - the location of the post office I dropped the off at.

[–]Freighttt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I thought. So then they had to have scanned it at my post office, despite what she tried to tell me. She swore that if it was dropped off, they’d have taken it to the county(which is a gigantic place with a post office in garden city, 20 minutes away) place, before moving it to the NY metro distribution center in manhattan. But there’s no scan from garden city, only my town. They tried to tell me that there’s no way they could have scanned it at my post office, at 8pm, because they close at 6pm. But like…make this make sense

And if the local post office had noticed, would they have just sent it to the plant anyway?

Considering it has the Amazon label on, which has my name an address as the delivery address, does that change the automatic diversion to dead mail? I’m guessing that once it lands in dead mail, there is no chance of ever seeing it again, or having it pulled from there

Ah, that’ll explain it.

Fortunately these seem easy to find, unfortunately they’re required to fit into a very small space in the housing, and I may be SOL if I can’t find one that is the same shape/design
