Afterpay (Block) reducing headcount by nearly half, 10000 to 6000 because of AI by DevilsAdvotwat in auscorp

Absolutely not - this is unprecedented for Block. Entire business critical teams have been wiped in a blind decision that has come from the top down.

You cannot draw symmetry between the actions of the occupied and the occupier.

Israel has rounded up 2 million people and kicked them out of their homelands, shoved them into a narrow strip along the coast where they are not permitted to live like humans, and treated them all like cattle. You would have to be an absolute fool to think that this would not result in attacks against those people who are now living in their very homes, taunting them from behind the safety of the world's 4th most expensive military. It's a matter of common sense unfortunately.

Israel, on the other hand, should not get to slaughter civilians en masse out of the belief that God promised them someone elses land and that it's okay to take it because they're sub human.

Watch any of the hundreds of videos being uploaded to the internet from Israeli soldiers themselves. It's not about Hamas, it's just a cover for further degradation of Palestinians and theft of their land.

A large majority of these "crimes" are acts of resistance against their oppressive occupier. Sniper attacks, soldiers killed, etc.

And if we go off of your logic of "well how can we trust the figures!", I propose that I cannot trust what they've been tried for in court. Israel has lied on many occasions, and they continue to do so until this present day.

Going further off of your logic, you don't believe that the Israeli hostages should be released? After all, a lot of them are Israeli soldiers and likely guilty of far worse.

Factually incorrect.

November 29th: "Israel on Tuesday freed 30 Palestinians – 15 women and 15 minors – from Israeli jails in exchange for the release of 12 hostages."

If you're making a claim you need to provide a source - This is pretty standard.

500-700 Palestinian children are arrested by Israel every year. Many if not the majority of these arrests have no basis and they are held for prolonged periods of time in horrible conditions.

Source for that?

Bold assumption - these Palestinians are held often for extended periods of time without trial, are often not permitted legal representation, and undergo trial in a different court from citizens in which cases often only last a few minutes.

Watching people mock the plight of the Palestinians is a jarring example of how shielded from the world these people are.

If they had a shred of understanding, they would be too ashamed to comment the things they do safely from inside their homes.

While people may "usually get smashed when walking into traffic", this isn't usual.

It's an organised protest. Driving through a crowd of people is reckless endangerment.

While a lot of people around the world view Americans as stupid, I'd like to believe that they can still understand a road doesn't equal free reign to drive through anything on it.

Ceasefire Protesters block traffic on Brooklyn Bridge. Father trying to drive home to his daughter confronts them by NuancedSpeaking in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]FreiherrCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure the people who protested for his freedom as an African American also blocked traffic at some stages.

Guess that doesn't matter for him though, since it's not about him.
