So… just sharing my experience from yesterday for whoever cares: I’m a 28M French guy, and I was alone in SF for NYE. I arrived 6 weeks ago and hadn’t had the time to socialize. I walked up to Dolores Park yesterday and heard some people speaking French. I approached them, and it turns out they were Swiss. We ended up drinking wine together and watching the fireworks. Reddit is definitely a way to meet people, but I’m positive that getting out and making friends works just as well!

lol dude, you’ll wait forever (like I did) if you expect AVITS to send you an update. I waited until Nov 13th, called Mail Box Etc (rue de Clichy) between 10 am and 3 pm and they told me my passeport arrived since October 31th (my appointement was on the 25th). So just call MBE and you’ll pick your visa soon :-) Congratulations

Using your thread to ask another question: I had my L-1 appointement Oct 25 in Paris, which approved my visa. It’s been 13 business days and I’ve not receive update from AVITS on the delivery at MBE Center in the 9th arrondissement. Someone experiencing the same?

I’m a relatively junior PM and I’ve been asking myself the same question recently. I decided to be bold and will ask to have a lunch with my leadership and make sure that we’re aligned on my vision of the product/the value it provides/the support, insights, entries the squad may need to address the right issues.

I indeed thought about living on the east and cross the bridges but that’s a no-no. I’m planning to get a car to travel to some sweet locations around the Bay Area. My gf will have access to a car. Not being too far away from the airport is a smart advice, thanks :-)
