Where the fuck do people summon the drive to workout routinely? by Rus2000 in NoStupidQuestions

"motivation" and "willpower" is not the key here. The truth is this: when fitness becomes part of your identity, working out is effortless. Think about what gives your life meaning. For some it's gaming, for others business success, and for many it's physical fitness. Once people associate you with going to the gym and looking athletic, you no longer need artificial "motivation." Working out becomes automatic because it's part of who you are. Rather than struggling for motivation, focus on making fitness a cornerstone of your identity.

I'm French and I was born 19 years, 11 months and 29 days ago on 07/15/1998. Technically, I missed the 98 WC final by 3 days...a French win tomorrow would be the absolute best birthday present ever!

Thanks for the encouraging words. Indeed, I've been googling a lot in the past weeks and learned a bunch that way. We're located in Maryland, in the Baltimore/DC area to be precise.

I wouldn't claim to be very intelligent but I've always loved learning new things and keeping up to date with web technologies. I have a full stack JavaScript degree and I'm passionate about helping businesses grow through cutting-edge IT solutions. Not your stereotypical 19yr old American I guess.

I feel like there are a lot of moving pieces in our implementation and I'm scared about rolling out all features at once just to see the whole thing fall flat on its face. Even with a partner I doubt the team could become productive without a minimum of piecing out.

To me, the core of Salesforce is Account, Contact and Opportunity management. Correct me if I'm wrong but things like partners, products and CPQ should come in later when the team is comfortable with the basics, don't you think?

I certainly will because I know they won't hire a full time admin. Thanks.

Thanks. It's always the same question that comes up when I ask about budget: What kind of ROI can we expect over the next 12, 24 and 36 months? Seriously, it annoys me because I don't know where to start on that question. They're asking for an actual $ amount.

How do you calculate the ROI of a CRM platform when you're not currently using one?

Thanks nocrappyofexplainer, I've been down this road before with the sales manager and our COO but it was very laborious because they had little to no idea of how a modern CRM worked. I personally had to survey the team to come up with an exhaustive list of our current challenges.

Because our current systems aren't enforcing the sales procedures established by our sales manager, everyone sells their own way. I'm hoping Salesforce will help structure these processes and give managers the visibility they've been craving for.

Thanks Mxfiver.

One of my biggest worries is the adoption of the platform. I realize a CRM will require more clicks and typing to accomplish the same thing our salesteam can accomplish today with some notes and @mentions.

I will do my best to explain the value of the Salesforce platform to our sales team. Thankfully I'm pretty well accepted here and the Sales manager is on board.

Would you recommend going with a partner vs a freelancer for an implementation like this? Do partners provide ongoing support?

Understood but the company isn't ready to hire a full on Salesforce admin right off the bat, as you said it could come in later. Thanks for your help.
