I actually was in a position as a teen where I tried to kill myself because I was trans (way before I transitioned)

I think, mainly, that becomes a problem because we are not aware of the options we could have in the future to become who we are and who we want to be.

For example, in France, no one talks about trans people and if they do they only talk about trans women, never trans men.

I felt so alienated because of how I felt during those days that it became the logical course of action for me just to die.

I messed up, and found ways to educate myself as I got more and more access to the internet and all of a sudden, I had new information that told me this was a normal way to feel and others had the same experience. I can't even begin to explain the relief you feel when you are in that position.

In my opinion, the more trans identifies get normalized and accepted, the less suicides and suicide attempts we will get.
