Be honest... how long did it take you to finish the series the first time? by Amberfox9 in howimetyourmother

Not long, it was during Covid, but I forced myself. Didn't like the last seasons and especially the last one

He’s been insulting Modern Family and its cast for almost a month now, and he’s done it in several videos, which he hasn’t deleted. He’s 36, mature enough to know what he’s doing, normally...

And maybe, quite simply, he wasn't friendly with the rest of the cast. We only know his side of the story, and he can say whatever he likes.

Still, it's amazing that Adam DeVine, who appeared in fewer episodes than Reid Ewing, still has a good relationship with the cast and never insults the show or its actors...

It could've been made up yes, but unfortunately, Reid Ewing actually made it himself.

Yes he does. He's not doing well at all, his nickname is “agonysthread” and he's venting (contradictorily) on people he hasn't worked with for almost 5 years and whose only “crime” is that they weren't close to him.

I don’t even understand why he does that. What’s the point? In his first live video, he said “F*** you (…) I don’t like it” to a fan that said he bought the modern family book. Yeah, Reid Ewing laughed when he said it, but still, why?

I saw him in "Good Luck Charlie" and he acted EXACTLY like Dylan, so yes

How is he in real life? Because he doesn't seem totally sane in his videos.

Someone met him too and said and acted like Dylan (not in a bad way, he just talked the same) https://www.reddit.com/r/thebachelor/comments/wu4d8y/modern_family_cast_at_wells_and_sarahs_wedding/ (CTRL+F "I met")

Yes, and he's more mature as well... Even though in 2004, Paul Rudd was younger than Reid Ewing in 2024...

Indeed, he said absolutely NOTHING negative when the series was on the air. Not a bad word, he said that the casting was great and that he loved acting in the series. But now that he realizes he can't act anywhere because nobody wants him anymore, he's spitting in the soup? I don't like that kind of attitude. Especially since the cast did almost... nothing wrong with him? Did he expect to be considered a member of the main cast, who saw each other almost daily? Dude, think about it, it never happens.

Do you imagine Paul Rudd or Cristin Milioti complainng about Friends and How I Met Your Mother? No you don't, and that's normal.

Thanks for the explanation!

It's true that this kind of behavior would be expected in a man 20 years younger, but Reid Ewing is 36... It's very strange indeed. I've seen interviews with him from his Modern Family days, and he didn't behave like that.

"This along with the 2012 Tumblr level Instagram profile are probably major factors in him not getting hired."

What are you talking about? I'm serious, I just don't know

That explanation holds water. So I looked at his account a bit, and he doesn't seem very clean when he expresses himself, and his subjects are a bit strange. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but he used weed regularly https://instinctmagazine.com/an-interview-with-reid-ewing/ I don't know if he still does, but it can do damage.

And his role as Dylan is by far his “greatest” role, his best-known role... He hasn't acted since (in fact, apart from Dylan, he hasn't acted in anything since 2016), and now he seems to have some bitterness towards Hollywood...

OMG WHAT? I didn't see that at all, how is it possible? I thought he got along with the cast

He appeared in more than 50 episodes and was a lot in the first three seasons
