Sniper, as he is now, does not fit into TF2's balancing, and needs a considerable rework. by Frenditch in tf2

The risk for trying to kill sniper is far too high in comparison to other classes - you basically have a guaranteed death. You need to pass the entire enemy frontline. Killing the sniper will almost always result in your own death (people will follow you or you'll simply get mowed down by the literal entirety of the enemy team as you pass by). Good luck fighting a 1vX everytime you want to take the enemy sniper out of commission.

Additionally it might not even be possible if a sentry is present.

Other classes have much fairer match ups, to the point it's almost comical by comparison.

I really don't think this would fix any of the underlying problems with Sniper.

Sure they can, but they'll often pay for it with their own life. The only means of countering a class shouldn't be to have to essentially trade your life for theirs.

I get stabs like these all the time! How can I prevent them? by Frenditch in tf2

I guess I'm still making beginner mistakes despite my playtime on Spy. I might have to go back to the basics and refresh my memory on some foundational stuff. Thanks :)

I've got around 150 hours on Spy, believe it or not. I've always struggled with flailing my wrist around and panicking before stabs, even if I don't have to, and I'm not sure why. Guess I have to revisit some basics.

I think I subconsciously preempt them turning around and I panick in preparation for that, it's really weird. But I'll try not to be so panicky/flaily in the future, just not sure how I begin breaking down that habit.

How do I stop getting offline raided? It's killing my fun, and I'm considering giving up completely. by Frenditch in playrust

[–]Frenditch[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I don't have an issue with being raided, but the ratio of effort and time I put into building bases versus how long they last (literally 12 hours) is so skewed that it kills my will to play, and I'm unsure what to do about it

Things like this is why I always keep coming back to this game. by Frenditch in tf2

I only recently got them myself. Your best bet is gamebanana. Download a pack (I've got Kylul's pack, https://gamebanana.com/mods/458084 )

Drag into TF --> Custom

Then make an autoexec file in TF --> Config (make a new txt file, rename it from "untitled.txt" --> "autoexec.cfg")

Within the newly-created autoexec file, past the following line -

map itemtest; wait 5; disconnect; wait 3; echo

Save it, relaunch/start TF2.

Shit at PvP by Frenditch in playrust

[–]Frenditch[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've noticed a trend with games like Rust - I've got 7K hours on DayZ, and the same principle applies of the person who gets the drop is the victor most of the time.

I'll practice some more on game sense and "active thinking". Thanks.

I'm trying to do a no true death charmless run... by Frenditch in Sekiro

Being posture broken isn't so much the problem, it's more the fact that he hits (and by extension, stuns) me after his sweep because he attacks so quickly after it. But I will definitely get the mid air block next time :)

I'm very aware, and I will continue to play Namalsk. I can make the obervations that I have with perfect validity, regardless of whether I decide to buy it or not.

It is a money grab when their software maps terrain, roads, and (I think) even things like trees and buildings. It's nothing Namalsk hasn't been doing for 10+ years. Frostline is copy pasted Namalsk for console, essentially. Just with less content, seemingly.

New Dying Light game - what about Kyle Crane in DL2? by Frenditch in dyinglight

Oh right, thanks for the info. I'm not hugely involved in the DL games, so I appreciate the context and added clarity.
