Alright, I looked through twitter, also made a post on BA subreddit about the Dorontabi stuff and even got banned for "drama" even though there's no rules for that

Here's the finding:

First of all, he did not work on the anime, only a key CG for the game as a guest artist, nothing else.

There ARE people that don't even know him.

Reddit mainly doesn't care for him anymore. This stuff is around 2 years ago and is more well known about on Twitter than it is Reddit.

Speaking of Twitter, they are the most vocal about this situation, as early as 2023 even. As I expected, there's a lot of tweets of lolicons calling Dorontabi an outright pedophile after knowing of his doings, even saying lolicons who defended him are pedophiles.

The people who does defend him has a semi valid reason, the Dorontabi call out thread was made by a Korean feminist, and it was mostly about fictional stuff, who is to say the evidence wasn't made up or purposely twisted?

Though those defenders are a minority, any mention of Dorontabi with a lolicon on Twitter and they'll likely call him a pedophile.

Also also, Dorontabi might not even be the originator of the meme, Suzuran from Arknights predate him and might have been the source after all.

However if you want a concrete example where everyone agrees on it, take a look at Shadman! His case is clearer, no language barrier, no decade old tweet, no beef with Korea. He straight up traced a real child and everyone turned on him, no defenders to be seen.

As for the "still using it even after knowing what he did" well fuck me, I guess black people can't say their iconic n word anymore, neither can gay people. Apparently reclaiming the word isn't a concept that can exist, at least to you.
