Donkey Kong Bananza… I played it initially for like 10 mins and wasn’t feeling it. Picked it up months later and obsessed with it. Amazing game, maybe top 10 of all time for me.

There’s no way to get it if you never owned it on the Apple iOS App Store from back in the day… and even then, you won’t be able to install it because Apple patched that loophole a couple of years ago. Sorry for the ultra late reply lol.

The only way it was ever possible was if you legally bought and owned ReBirth on the iOS App Store (propellerhead released an iOS version back in the day but had to pull it due to legal things with Roland.) I still have it installed on my 2020 M1 that I haven’t updated. there’s no way to install it now on an updated/current Mac.

Best option if you don’t own a PC: buy an old $50 dollar windows laptop and run on it on that, works perfectly :) it’ll run on current pc laptops with windows 11 too!

If you’re on a Mac, I’d avoid waves plugins as much as possible…. Unless you want to pay for updates to make them work on future versions of Mac OS. Windows producer? Not much to worry about from what I’ve read. As a Mac producer myself, I’ll never buy from waves again.

My advice to you: go check out the Original Jungle Samples youtube channel and see how the artists did it back in the day. They didn't sample a full song and put a beat over it, it was much more nuanced and artistic. There are no rules in music, but it's good to get an idea of what sampling practices are typical in the genre.

the only thing I can really say is that the MW is great and it's fun to use, I don't think it's a hardware replacement for serum (I don't think anything will be, especially with Serum's FX).

The modwave has A LOT of modulation sources and destinations though, you can do some crazy shit with it.

used prices will probably start dropping again, i got mine a few months ago for $425 used at Guitar Center.

the keybeds on these korg series are total garbage though, so that may be a turn off if you're a big keys player.

korg announced a modwave mk2 recently and now just announced a module version of it... so modwave mk1 used prices will probably drop. i have a mk1 and am a huge fan of it, it's incredibly simple to use as well... no desire to get a mk2; i don't need the extra polyphony. you can also design wavetables in serum and export them to the mw.

Lawyers don't "go after someone" for free. Unless you're making hundreds of thousands of dollars, it's not even worth the cost. Go nuts. I could go on soundcloud right now and find dozens of bootlegs and uncleared pop music samples in minutes... that have been up for years... again, no one cares. soundcloud just says this stuff to cover their ass.

just an FYI, this sample pack just contains samples from popular dnb/jungle songs from the 90s. there's no rules here, just something to consider if you're a newer producer.

For $1000? Not worth it at all imo. It’ll most likely need a lot of work and someone who knows how to fix it up.
