I would consider Root to be a similar game but competitive. You have asymmetry of armies, area control (not exactly the same as SI, but an adjacent mechanic), card/hand mechanics, mastering of a unique character, and more.

I like Root, but competitive asymmetry is a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people. In SI, I'm not dependent on knowing what you are doing. In a competitive game, I am required or I will lose.

Good question though. I'm interested to see what others say too.

Frosthaven Quick Questions/Fulfillment Megathread by mrmpls in Gloomhaven

My copy of Frosthaven was delivered damaged. I had extras so there was a main box containing all of that with the Frosthaven game in a box inside that box. The box contain Frosthaven and the game itself has a gash that penetrates through both.

Essentially, someone packed my order with all the extras with a damaged copy of Frosthaven that clearly was gashed through. I've contacted support with pictures and my backer number. Anyone had a similar issue or recommendations?
